Miles deserved to be canned, but yeah, I agree that Orgeron was a terrible hire.
That said, the Auburn game last season was still the most excited I had been during a LSU game since the 2011 season. #littlevictories
I understand and even agree with most of the hate with Alleva and Orgeron, but I don't think I agree with a huge implosion of the entire athletic program.
So many sports at LSU are still doing well. And, once men's basketball makes a deep run in the tournament next season, it will again be hard to run Alleva out.
Beyond all of that, Alleva has sustained the football/athletic program. LSU still makes killer profit from athletics. He's there to make money, and he does that.

Merchandising and donation revenue are trailing indicators.
Hence, necessarily, if that is the sole metric we will be behind the curve by the time alarms go off; not to mention action taken.
The product and revenue have a direct correlation. Hence the product needs to have some metrics and QC.

As long as income and profit is good for the athletic program and graduation rates are at record highs, Alleva will keep his job unless O and the team completely fail.
