Really fascinating iyam.

Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to hire an AD from a school whose only good sport was established decades before he got there?

Out of the big 6 we are probably in the worst shape in the big sports

It's time to bring Dan Radakovich home.

I'm waiting to see what happens with the football hire before I'm ready to get the pitchforks out.

That said, retaining Jones after last year was and is inexcusable.

Not sure what complaints there are to be had with Alleva re: baseball but I'm sure the rant could conjure something up

In his defense, he hired LSU's best coach.

And he's overseen numerous facility upgrades. Still, his legacy, good or bad, will be defined by who replaces Les.

That's true, but unfortunately for him, he'll never have a bigger home run than Torina. She is a freaking revelation and was the second choice.

It really was laughable hire. Especially his handling of the lacrosse "scandal"

Meh, baseball is fine, basketball has been a garbage fire. A good hire in football and he is okay.

So far all Alleva has shown is he`s a spineless coward and not too bright. Let`s see if he can hire a great football coach or screw this up too.

Alleva is a perfect example of what I've been writing about forever...political correctness=cowardice...didn't anyone notice what he did at Duke!

Anything less than best of all time or perfection, which admittedly Alleva is not close, and sports fans will complain about and consider to be a complete failure, as evidenced by the OP. Before Alleva arrived LSU was one of the most prominent brands in all of American athletics. LSU is still one of the most prominent brands in all of American athletics.

In baseball we just hired a 30yr old as hitting coach. I didn't expect a superstar, but gee is that the best you could do? Very lazy hire imo. I think with the stature of lsu'a program we could get a mid-major assistant, or get creative and look to the minor leagues.

Not sure how this is on Alleva. Shitty timing and it's ultimately PM's decision who is on his staff
