One thing this situation does do - it clears up the reason for Dexter Pratt to be an early entrant in the spring and then leave and revoke his commitment.
so this situation, which you know nothing about FACTUALLY does all that? forget law school; you'll starve.

Now it seems like he may have been promised an apartment and bailed when it didn't come through.
once again you know nothing. it "seems" like you like to run your mouth and make stuff up.
NEWS FLASH: scholarship athletes get free room and board, textbooks and tuition COMPLETELY PAID FOR BY THE COLLEGE THEY ATTEND! free room, free room, free room. that means they get free room. since they get FREE ROOM, i guess our coaching staff is going to get in trouble for getting them FREE ROOM.
the only plausible rumor about dexter pratt was that he was short one math class and couldn't enroll in the university because he did not meet the entrance requirements. the big 12 has less lower math requirements so he went to okie lite.

The answer to your question is all of them.

This is true. Or used to be. Dewayne Jarrett (U$C) was busted for pocketing his stipend and staying rent free with Leinart and someone else. The NCAA made him pay back around 19,000 dollars in restitution, but U$C (as usual) was never penalized for it.
Again these guys hadn't qualified yet, therefore no money or housing.

I understand. Was just in reply to the thread about student athletes getting a stipend for off campus housing.

Has LSU consulted with Alabama on how to handle cheating and violations?

The point that's trying to be made (all speculation - of course) is that none of these recruits had QUALIFIED yet.

...scholarship athletes get free room and board...
Again, THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED at the time (allegedly).

deangelo benton is player involved, the investigation is to try and prove miles knew about it, so we can avoid buyout imo.

HBT
Hate to break your heart here (and mine too). . .Just got off the phone with a good buddy.
There is no movement in the AD or TAF to terminate Miles. I will bank whatever credibility I have ever had in anyone's mind on this.
If Miles is fired over this, Chicken can ban me forever.

There is some potentially good news though. It seems clear that Pratt didn't get any benefits because he left town almost immediately.
Not so good if you consider the reason that there was no room for Pratt is maybe the other transgressions had been exposed. I have no information but that sounds logical.

Great thinking. No need to try and re-invent the wheel in this case!

How would he know until the investigation is complete?

It is certainly an opinion, but in all due respect, you are incorrect.

damn that sucks roaad. I think LSU is making a big mistake here. we have a chance to upgrade coaching for basically free and we pass it up

Pretty sure - going by the information we have - that the investigation is for all practical purposes over in terms of LSU's "internal" part. The only investigation left will be for the SEC and/or NCAA, of which I'm sure Alleva and LSU will cooperate fully.
To tell you you the truth, I think this is old news. We, the media and fans, are way behind on this story. This has been an ongoing process for a while now and Alleva/Miles were made aware and rectified the situation long ago.

you're really ignorant and possibly stupid if you believe that post.

For what it's worth, Akiem Hicks DID play one game this year.
Exhibit A:
The time the injury was added to the injury report. This was the Sunday after the Tulane game, which was the seventh game of the year.
Now get Exhibit B:
Note that it says four straight... after the seventh game. If he hadn't played all year, why would they only mention 'four straight' games?
If that wasn't enough, Exhibit C is the most damning line:
Read: If it's Hicks, this isn't as minor as originally thought.
Two conclusions:
(1) This is bigger than simply trouble involving the recruiting of a player who never played by a presumed-fired position coach.
(2) Akiem Hicks is not the player in question.
If (1)... what next? If (2), it may well be Benton. Hopefully it's not Ford, Davenport or Logan.

Hicks was supposed to be a major contributor for the Tigers this season as a defensive lineman, but injuries and illness have sidelined him for much of the season (has only PLAYED IN ONE GAME IN 2009).

In a lot of these cases the real investigation happens then its announced.

My bud told me that Miles/Alleva have taken all the correct actions.
DJ was not fired right away for legal reasons. They needed to conduct an investigation into the allegations before he could be fired (contractual). The internal investigation was concluded, and all information gleened has been forwarded to the SEC.
People are creating a rift b/w Alleva and Miles that doesn't exist.
