So, Andolsek was a guard?
Yes. Played some DT as a true Fr in '84 though but by far most of his career was at OG.

Is he worthy of 1st team honors?

OL is: Whitworth Faneca Mawae Andolsek La'El
Isn’t that too many tackles
OT: Whitworth and Collins
OG: Faneca and Andolsek
C: Mawae
Kevin played all OL positions but his NFL career was at C. Deserved better than to have been on the Curley teams.
Will Campbell is likely to make things more difficult at OT.
My HM, Ciron Black at OT. Succeeded Whitworth at LT and started every game at LT. Think about that, from '02 through '09 we only had two LTs.
Trai Turner, was drafted as a RS-soph so only played two seasons as a Tiger. Ran like a 4.8s 40-yd at the Combine.

Kevin Mawae played OT when he first got to LSU, but was moved to center. You can move Pocic out, put Kevin there. Kevin was the highest paid center in the NFL And is in the NFL HOF. The part were he was at LSU with Hallman, wasn’t his fault.

js he worthy of 1st team honors?
IMO, yes. Kinda hard to compare across eras but Roy "Moonie" Winston at OG deserves mention.
And, as noted above Trai Turner was a great OG but only played 2 seasons.

I would take Cannon off this list as a RB. He was a great all around player, but as a RB there is about 10 others I would put on before him.
He was the best all-around player in LSU history. He played both ways and made the goal line tackle to save the Ole Miss game AFTER he had made his famous punt return. Imo, he is also the best RB in LSU history, as he would've had even better stats if not for playing both ways, and is (obviously) the only RB at LSU to win the Heisman.
The term is way over-used, but he truly had track star speed and had the build to play in any era. He is RB1 on any LSU list.
EDIT to add
2 time SEC Player of the Year
2 time consensus All-American

I believe he is, definitely. He is arguably the best lineman in LSU history. I mentioned it about Cannon, but he is also a guy with the size/speed/build who could start in todays game, or any era.
Great list by the way! At linebacker, Warren Capone was the best LBer in LSU history when he finished his career. 2 x All-American and a 3 year starter.
My top 3 linebackers would be Michael Brooks, Warren Capone, and Devin White. I would have Capone over Mike Anderson as Anderson was great, but played pre-integration and was AA only once.

So, go back to how I had it

That’s who I originally had, I’m putting him back lol

I hate to argue the specifics on a best of list, as it can get pretty subjective.
That said, LSU has had two Heisman winners who each were the best player in the country that season and the best player on a NC winning team in their penultimate season. I will die on that mountain of Burrow and Cannon being 1-2 (or 2-1) on any list of best LSU football players in history.

I agree, he was too great to not be on list

I put him back, you think he is worthy of 1st back, Lenny was pretty awesome

If Jefferson is starting then Chase should be too, don’t forget who won the Biletnikoff. Might consider throwing in Foster Moreau at TE.

Taylor definitely has all-time potential, but shite, he's only been here 1 season, and he's already all-time??

That’s a tough one due to Chase only really playing his sophomore season, if he wouldn’t of sat out his junior year, he’d be on it. But, can’t put him over Reed and Clayton

I put him, Campbell and Perkins on that list because when it’s said and done they will be one of all time greats

Hodson is tough to leave off, but you are getting into eras with any QB discussion. Russell had the second best single season in LSU history but not career numbers. Hodson did it for four years, was All-SEC 4 times, but never had that All-American type season. Jones was a better athlete and more talent than both, but was in an archaic system and QB era. The NFL shouldn't count (and the OP stated this was college era only) but just for shits and giggles, Jones was NFL MVP a #2 overall selection, and was on his way to a HOF career before injuries derailed it.
An argument could be made for any of the three, but imo its Burrow followed by Jones, and then Hodson.
