It is. '04 OU was great, but I think the tone of the thread was reg season games in Death Valley that have sentimental meaning to each person :)

Florida St. 1982. I was 8 years old and have been hooked ever since.

I was there sitting in the student section. Had coat and tie on (protocol of times) and it was hot!

Cannon's run was great, but the goal line stand at end of game may have been more heart stopping!

Well, if you want to stick to Tiger Stadium games, I got '97 Fla and '03 UGA. Both electric crowds with electric plays. Herb Tyler, Cedric Donaldson then Skyler Green in '03.

Bet that was awesome COTiger.

I was 12 years old so other than Billy's return, I don't remember much about the game. As I aged, it's significance became more relevant.

No one ever mentions this one, but LSU beating a strong Tennessee team in 2000 was my favorite game.

Da fuk? It was mentioned TWICE before you brought it up.

THIS is one of the greatest games. Ro the Warrior... hobbling around on a bum ankle with a 360-lb DT hanging all over him and he still wrist-flicks the ball 60 yards for a TD.

LOVE THAT GAME!!! And I wasn't even there. Listened to Hawthorne on dial-up modem connection while living in Brazil. I bet I replayed that VHS tape 100 times.

The game came just one week after that UAB fiasco, probably the low point in LSU football history.

Seriously??? Another fail... 1992 2-9 season is the epitome of the low point in LSU football history /end story.

2003 UGA (Reg Season) is my #2. Young girl in front of me hiding down on the floor between the bleachers with her hands over her ears and crying "my ears are hurting!"

'01 SEC Championship game. I was there. Thought Saban lost his mind going for it on 4th down so deep in own territory. After all the crap years of LSU football, it was great to be there for the start of something great.

The OP is right on the money. That ND game was on national TV and we dominated. I was 6 years old. Magical.

I was at the 82 FSU "oranges" game. Fog rolling in, oranges flying, and Dalton Hilliard running wild. Magical.

82 at Bama. We dominated defensively and won 20-10. I was there. Effectively put the Bear into retirement.

But the best might be 79 USC. We lost 17-12. But that game was very special.

04 sugar bowl was truly one of the all time greats. But I wasn't there. Wish I was.

This. It's not all about winning championships. A lot of young Tiger lives were influenced in a powerful way by less substantial games. For example, my first game was 1967 Sugar Bowl in Tulane stadium against Wyoming. In the rain. I was 6. I remember the Golden Girls ( man were they fine. Even then). The band. I remember running in for a TD to win the game. No championship. But I'll remember forever.

"6. Sept 1979 LSU 12 USC 17 deafening."

This ! Went to the game, got scalped, and then left stadium with my ears ringing like after a Ted Nugent concert !!!
