My sophomore year at LSU - 1960. Tigers had lost four staight games next game against #2 ranked Ole Miss in Oxford. Student train left from near Alex Box at midnight. Got up to Oxford mid-morning for early afternoon kickoff. Great partying - Tigers outplayed Rebels, kicked arse all over the field. Rebels kicked a late 4th quarter fg to salvage a 6-6 tie.

I can't remember if it was 96 or 97, but LSU took a bunch of chartered busses full of students to the Vandy Game. They let us all out in a parking lot right next to a liquor store. I'm sure you can imagine where it went from there.

It was an awful game. We only won 7-6 and it was the game where Cecil Collins got hurt, but I doubt very many remembered anything about it. I think it was several years before they did another bus trip.

Still one of my favorite college memories, besides for the crappy game.

Auburn, when that arena burned down. Pretty impressive sight, flames up above the stadium. We kicked their a**.

Things always seemed magnified when you're a kid, therefore I'd have to say LSU's one and SEC basketball championship in Birmingham in 1980.

Dwayne Scales went off in the second half and an early Cookie Man elbow into Sam Bowie's back had Bowie intimidated all night as Easy E schooled Kyle Macy.

The Tigers one 80-78 and as a kid of 14 I was able to meet many of the players after the game.

A thrilling memory.

The Pigs will fly win over Bama in football and both the natinal title games in football were filled with great memories as well.

Hard to decide since there were so many during my college years 1984-1988 and we had good teams in football and basketball.

Football: December 31, 1987 Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. We beat S. Carolina 30-13 in the afternoon and we partied all night long in our hotel lounge for New Year's Eve with some USCe fans. They were much older than us but were cool and had a blast with us even though we had won. We had a group of about 20 of us and 15 of them and we took over the lounge.

Basketball: March 1986 Southeast Regional at the OMNI in Atlanta followed by the Final Four in Dallas. We saw two great games in Atlanta and partied a bit to say the least. In Dallas, we partied the night before and had a blast for the first half of the semifinal. We were able to scalp our $35 Championship game tickets for $75 and drove back to B.R. after another night of partying. We arrived home just in time to see Pervis Ellison and Louisville beat Duke for the title. I even lived for about a week on the $40 of profit from the ticket.

Toss up between LSU Bama game in Birmingham when Dalton Hilliard helped LSU kick Bama's but in the midst of a Tornadoe warning and rainstorm. The victory steak dinner after getting soaked in the upper deck tasted so sweet after a Bama win.

Remember Joey?

And the Peach Bowl demolition of the Canes, and the 2007 SEC Championship win over Tennessee (since I live in TN). The tailgating before and after the game under the over pass was outstanding, especially the jambalaya and gumbo.

Even Falcon and UGA fans were enjoying the tailgating. The UT fans joined us before and after the game, since their tailgating was lame.
