I bought the first set of 4 prints in an Advocate close-out deal for around $12.00 for the set. I don't have the 5th "Dynasty" one so now I need the last two... just need to find where I can buy them.

I have mine matted in purple with a gold stainless frame and it comes out to about 65 a picture so you can prob do it yourself and save a little money.

One thing to remember: the Advocate's pages got smaller since the last baseball NC. If you get a frame of the same size as before, it will have more matting. Just sayin'.

You're basically looking at $100 a framed poster. The old posters are selling for $10 on The Advocate. So the other $90 dollars is for the frame? What is this thing made out of? Pure gold and children's tears?

Just go to Hobby Lobby and have them cut the mat for you for free.. You can get all 6 poster for 55 dollars and you can frame each one at Hobby Lobby for about 35 each.

Of course you can go to one of those places and have them give it to you up the arse as well. Do it yourself for 265 or pay someone else to do something easy for almost 600.. hmmmmm

The Advocate had the previous 5 for $40 on their website last week. Not sure if they are still there or not but I would check. You still have to get them framed but even still it would not cost you 575 to buy them and get them framed yourself.

the problem with this is that the newspaper uses a non standard size. They are 12x21, so you would need to use an 18x24 frame. That means you'd have about 3" of matting on two sides and 1.5" of matting on the other two.

It doesn't look good. That's why people buy the custom frames for these things, and yeah, it costs more. Depending on the frame/molding and how much matting you want, it can be really expensive. The frames are priced by the foot. Glass is cheap, and matting can be cheap unless you get acid free so the edges won't yellow over time and possibly affect the print.

ETA: I've never heard of any place that cuts mats for free. Even if you bring in your own, they charge a small fee.
