Not one dime of student money outside of the small amount they pay for subsidized tickets goes to the athletic department. Without season ticket holders there’s no team. You think LSU is going to sacrifice those dues and ticket costs so more students can go? They need every dollar they can so unless the students are going to be paying the full price they aren’t getting more than the bare minimum LSU thinks they can get away with giving them and not causing a noticeable uproar.

Irrelevant. The school is there specifically for the students, not the fans. This includes all extracurricular activities. This is not up for argument or discussion. This is just a fact.

And let the students have as much of the 25% percent as possible. They only have a few years to experience TS as a student and deserve every opportunity. Older fans like myself have had my tickets in my family for 40 years and I just can’t imagine going into a barely alive TS, with a mask after not tailgating all day. Just take a year, have your tailgates at home or friends houses and support the Tigers from there. It’s gonna be terrible for us non students and I think the students would enjoy it more. Just my opinion. Downvote away.

frick the students.

Can I get some additional student section eligibility since my student tickets were from 89 to. 92?

Important??!!! Yep, just as I thought, fricking entitlement culture. Just what is it that makes the students more important than any other fans dipshit?

So how many of you actually gave your tickets to students for this game? I’m betting not a damn one of you.

My last year in school I started noticing a distinct shift. When I started in 2012 you’d never see anyone wearing gear for other schools either. Maybe other Louisiana school if the kids were from the area. But by the time I graduated you’d see kids every day with Ohio state gear, even other SEC schools, ACC schools. It was bizarre.

Also my freshman year there was a lottery for student tickets because of how high the demand was. There haven’t been any since then and the waiting list for full season tickets also hasn’t been around for at least 5 years now. The stadium also is much slower to fill and much quicker to empty and has been trending that way every year since I’ve started attending games.

What you’re saying is somewhat true somewhat overblown. I graduated in the mid 2000’s and never had trouble getting student tickets, that said there has been a bit of a shift but it’s not unique to LSU at all.
