Y’all get on me for being optimistic in 2020, but I’m 85 n been playing n watching football for too long to be told different when I can TRULY SEE IT and BELIEVE IT.

My grandpa Ryan (1908 National Champ) used to hush me when he took me to watch Yelberton Tittle at QB for LSU in the 40’s and he’d say Watch Watch! He allowed a whisper between plays and I learned to recognize the formations and the defenses and I’d always whisper PASS PASS excitedly when I KNEW Tittle would launch one. After that pass play, he’d give me a wink and he’d chatter with the other former players in the stands nearby after one of Tittle’s TDs

Granted this was in the pros and he died in 2017 at age 90 (still my all time Tiger hero next to my Grandpa) but he threw 33,000 yards in an era when passing wasn’t cool. Dan Marino broke his records in the 1980’s
