Sorry if I missed it (I know this thread was already posted a couple times), but did we ever find out what happened with this situation? Did he just quit because he was going to lose playing time? Did Miles make him quit? Was he injured? Personal issues?

It was weird the way it all went down.

It was personal, that's all we need to know.

Personal issues.....I respect that it was kept quite.....from what I heard, if true, it was for the best....and it had nothing to do with Miles or football or any kind of off the field trouble

Not sure, but maybe it was because he lost his job to a freshmen.

He quit blocking in the middle of the Florida game. How is that personal?

How's this for a clear answer:

Alex Hurst was a Tiger who played his arse off for the team, the fans, and his own goals. His career here finished early, too early, due to reasons which are none of your and my damn business.

Jizzamo is dead on. Had absolutely nothing to do with football or Miles. Made the best choice for him. He made a choice that a lot of lesser people would not. Wish him the best.

He gone!

I appreciate the weekly Alex Hurst threads asking for clear answer.. LSU should win the bowl game now.

Yes. The only thing we heard here (that I know about) is it was personal issues and we all pretty much left it at that. Some things are just personal.

I am the guy who ran into a former LSU lineman at a function who got Hurst's story from two current linemen that played with Hurst. I really agree with the previous rants that suggest we leave this alone and not talk about his personal problem. It was NOT football or Miles related. Everyone knows his girlfriend got pregnant and left him. That's been all over football websites and talk radio, no secret. We need to stop here and let it go, it's personal and medical. Hurst was a starter and a great Tiger, I doubt he comes back, he's got a grown adult life to lead now. He's probably going to start working and get a career going. I'm guessing that part of it. He had to face a situation that I wish on no one, I'm not sure I could have handled it any better or different than he did. Good luck to a former Tiger.
