Could've sworn I'd seen them before. Thought someone had taken pictures themselves. Either way, cool pics.

we get a TS kickoff countdown every year. Pretty soon I think we need one for countdown to the new box.

do you think the unfinished seats all the way at the bottom will be purple???

I just don't think there is enough purple to offset the gold and green (not a fan of the green at all)

Yes. Pretty much all the seats at the bottom from dugout to dugout will be purple (see rendering below).

Green is a pretty standard color for chair back seats in baseball (even football) stadiums nowadays.

They originally said it would not be ready for opening day because it takes a year for the dirt to settle. So I'm guessing if they want it ready for opening day 2010 they would be putting dirt down now.

I'm hoping it wasnt one of the things cut out of the budget.

+1. When they put the dirt down, it's gonna be a challenge to keep people off of it until it's ready.

It looks like I'll be sitting on the end of my row. The news just keeps gettin' better & better!

I have a question. Why in the world did they not have the pressbox run the length all the way to the right. It looks like it's offcenter.

That's because they have 18 regular suites (9 on either base line) and 1 larger presidential suite (which is located directly to the right of the press box). Why didn't they do 17 & 1 or 19 & 1, I don't know. Might have something to do with the progression of the design. At one point I don't think they had suites in the design except for a presidential suite, if I remember correctly based on older renderings.
