I think the Box is one of the nicest looking stadiums. Not sure about how the facilities stack up but here are some of the other stadiums. New or Renovated stadiumsAs much as I hate to admit it I really like Ole Miss' with the large capacity. Hope they can fill it or it will look really empty.

good find. i really like South Carolina's new stadium, especially this part, which could be similar phase 2 at the New Box

i wonder if theirs is off campus like their football stadium.

ETA: its picture 2 of 9 under south carolina

I like South Carolina's the best. Maybe it's because they go into more detail, but I like it. Especially that tunnel with the four batting cages or they can retract those to make room for more things.

Unfortunately, it is off campus. It's over near the river. Closer than the football stadium, but still a bit too far to walk from campus. It is a completely different location than the Sarge -- which was still pretty much off campus as well.

The University is buying up a ton of land around the campus, but you just can't get away from the fact that we are in the middle of the city.

There is also limited parking, so they are going to run shuttle busses from the Colonial Center.

Those are the downsides, but other than that, it is one heck of ballpark.

the new box is as good as any college, on campus stadium and better in some ways. what puts lsu over the top is leading attendence and atmosphere. the only schools that can come close would probably be ole miss, state, ark.

SC definitely has some things about its park thats better than ours. but one thing its lacking is a signature entrance way.

I like the overall architectural design of a few better than Alex Box, from the photos I have seen. Box has a fine entrance but the exterior still leaves a bit to be desired. Do like S. Carolina having fixed seating in left field (or so it appears.) North Carolinas is sweet.

I'm not sure I"m seeing what you're seeing. What makes it so special? It looks rather ordinary to me.

It's SC's outfield walls, seating, and Camden Yard standing area that make it for me. LSU has the best grandstand in the nation now, but will need more chairbacks down the lines in the future, and it's hitting backdrops may need help once feedback starts to come with play.

NC's stadium just doesn't look good to me, neither does Oregon nor Texas which for Austin's populace is rather small. And Ole Miss has too much white and/or blue paint just like their football stadium..too redneck!

i agree somewhat but chairbacks throughout(minus those last second bleachers they put up) is nice. honestly if i was them why add those bleachers. just seems weird to have 95% of the stadium chairbacks and only 5% not.

If I had to guess, that 5% is the student section.

from what i understand it was a last second add on so i doubt it. unless of course they relocate the students there.

I like SC's facilities but the new Box is very pleasing to the eye.
