Starkville is better than Little Rock.
Little Rock, and everything that has anything to do with Arkansas, is terrible.

I agree. I didn't like much about Arkansas both times I went. The tailgating and the stadium sucked...at least I could drink my beer in a damn can though.

you have to have beer in a cup at your tailgate spot too.
I was there when we played on Thursday in 2007. We setup 30 yards from the stadium on campus at 8:00am. Drank like it was a home game, bud and jack bottles, and no one messed with us.
I don't know if things have changed.

Just bought some cold beer at a gas station in Starkville. Wasn't sure we were in the right town. Lady at counter said they started selling it 2 years ago

Oktibbeha county is dry but the city is wet if that makes sense. Keep your drinks in cups and if you NEED a liquor store, the closest is at the intersection of Blackjack Rd. and Hwy 12

I recall when I was a lsu student, you had to buy your beer at roomtemp in starkvegas and the bars closing at like 10:30pm

It was (& believe still is) a dry county
Unless they've changed it in the last 12 years, it's not a completely dry county. The ordinance in Starkville states the businesses can't sell "cold" beer. You can buy it at room temperature off the shelf.
On the other hand, there were places that sold cold liquor. There were also several liquor stores in town.
It's just a weird ordinance to keep people from popping the top as soon as they get in their vehicles.

So I'll have to do crown and coke if walking? No beer unless at the tailgate spot??? That sure sucks.
Why don't all the "Needy" drinkers and alcoholics try something new and truly unique on your odyssey to Starkville and back. How about doing the entire trip 100% sober so you don't embarrass yourselves and the university. Try it. Not as difficult to do as you might think.

How about you leave the Great State of Louisiana and move to a state more conducive to the lifestyle of an enormous pussy?

May not be difficult but may not be as much fun either.
