Gordy and Bowser were/are able to do this without everything being "well back in my day I did this".
They can't bring a quarterback's perspective. He talks about himself so share his perspective on quarterbacking. Jack Nicklaus wrote a golf book called "Golf My Way" so that you would understand it was his way and not necessarily the only way. I've never been offended by his answers or stories of his time as a quarterback. Personally, I want to hear stories from the past.

Heard a kid ask him if he was Jeff Wickersham. Risher laughed at the kid and then turned to his friends and made fun of the kid. Hate to judge a guy based on something that was only 15 seconds long but I pegged him as a total douchebag after that.

I think AR does a good job. I agree he has the ability to draw from personal experience as a QB, and I enjoy hearing it. He also has experience as a head coach and that perspective is also useful and entertaining. Best of all, dude says what he believes and is not worried one bit about what anyone thinks about his perspective. He may not be the friendliest person, and that may come through, but he's certainly not worth complaining about. Really appreciate what he adds to the shows he's on.

Rish does mention himself quite a bit but I've never felt like it was about himself.
He'll just say "well when I was playing this is what I did." It isn't tooting his own horn, just laying out credentials. Sounds like he's not confident enough to just lay out his opinion.

Risher is an arrogant douche bag with an inflated sense of importance and significance.
An average college QB who thinks he is Tom Brady...and I actually like the guy

Not related to the topic, but Warren's brother is one of the coolest/baddest old dudes I've ever known
