They execute, aren't as penalized and don't frick themselves raw out of games with clock management and poor play calls.

What do you think the AD and fans would do to Saban if he promoted his bubba OL coach OC? No, wait, Saban wouldn't be that big of a DUMBASS!

So?

The overall scheme is similar but the playcalling and execution is terrible.

You can't really separate that out.

Yep, their passing offense is light years ahead of LSU's. Not even close.

What works for Bama is play action, working the TE into offense passing game, they make you account for the entire field with big receivers who stretch the field, so they are more creative than what people think.

LSU on the other hand LSU is the only team I have seen who's play action fools no one. Rarely uses screen passes, never uses TE, uses slant routes as primary way to move ball, long developing passing plays, and the creativity lacks from top to bottom, then you throw in the bad play calling and we get a performance like last night.

The one good about the game last night will make Les bring in an offensive coordinator who is creative for next season and we won't be hollering how bad our offense is at the start of next season and just about each week.

philosophy is similar...only Bama has actual coordination and game planning to make the philosophy work

it's called COACHING

It's hard to watch. I still say that LSU has to have top 20 talent offensively( that is conservative). So either all the offensive talent we recruit are overrated or the coaching/scheme sucks. I am going with the coaching sucks.

Their offensive plays are infinitely more mature than ours. Watch how they develop and are set up.

LSU could run a simpleton offense if we had any reasonable passing threat at all that was somewhat consistent. We don't. Teams play us to run because they know that is our only effective threat.

There's a huge difference in a simple offense and an ineffective one. With our defense we don't need to be flashy like some other teams.

There are schools out there who run a "simple" offense with less talent than LSU has and is much more effective at it.

Even if we had a reasonable pass threat it doesn't matter if you play call like last night and can't manage a few rushing attempts while leading the game and wanting to run the clock down and rest the defense. Passing just played into what Clemson wanted us to do.
