This doesn't even make sense. Anyone can tear their achilles if they move the wrong way.

It ruptures. Its not from "moving the wrong way" many times from injuring, and later more damage happening from fatigue. His body is used to the training and stress, so its a wierd injury that occurs in such a young, lighter athlete

As i eluded to....

Age and BMI: Individuals over 28 and those with a BMI over 25 are at higher risk.

Most happen from 20 to 39...so hes maybe 19 or 20?

Feel sad for the kid. Probably trained like a machine, slightly injured, then overload cause the real rupture

There are 13 WRs for basically 3 or 4 spots (Green will be a WR in 4 and 5 WR sets).

Maybe one of those that are not in the top 5 or 6 could make a switch?? I'm sure the coaches know if this is even possible with the players they have - just throwing that idea out there.

Are you retarded?

Why are you trying to apply age and weight averages to an injury to an elite athlete? 25 year old Tyrese Haliburton and 26 year old Jayson Tatum are totally old fat guys.

A guy who plays a position that requires more stop/start, change of direction, and pressure applied to the calf and Achilles tendon than any other position, tearing his Achilles, is not some out of the ordinary situation.

Seems to happen every year now, though maybe not this early.

In the past we blamed BK’s poor strength and conditioning staff. We sure do seem to incur more than our share of season-ending injuries during spring and fall practices. Seems to be a yearly occurrence for us.

Mine happened at 38. Took a step back to take a three pointer and it popped. I was in decent shape back then. Always playing something and had played basketball for two hours a couple of weeks before with no issues. The Achilles is just a wrong move away from popping for most anyone.

That is a rough injury for anyone.

I hope he takes his time and lets it heal completely.

Prayers for a full recovery.

What an absolute moron. Who said old, who said fat? You jackass. Its verified national statistics.

You try and make an argument, then you name 2 basketball guys? And, they are BOTH at minimum 7 yrs(30%) older then Aidan. And BOTH are much heavier and longer. He weighs 170

Thank you for absolutely proving my points.

Do me a solid, list the names of 18 yr old dbs, the DBU has lost to this injury in the last 30 years

Go play in the street kid

Achilles injuries are not good, I know that's obvious, but I really hope this kid can get back to full speed for 2027 and beyond.

I have heard that the repair is "good as new" but the length of rehab is long. Rant orthos... what is the expected time for return to service here for an athlete? 6 mo, 9 mo, 12 mo?

Haven’t seen video but if i had to guess he made the pick, landed and took a negative step to explode into a return.

Hopefully his recovery goes like Guillory’s. He got hurt in game 2 or 3 of ‘24 and played in every game last season.
