After White's "Hit" On Fitzgerald, Refs Forced Fitzgeral to Leave Field ???

I haven't seen anyone mention this but have not waded through the hundreds of comments.

Seemed odd to me. First thought was did his helmet come off and I missed it and he had to leave the game?

Then thought maybe he and White were having words and the official was trying to get him away from an altercation.

Just seemed odd to me two refs had to tell him to leave the field. Now I wonder if one of them was thinking, "hell, we screwed this up and we need to run him off like he's hurt and make our screw up look righteous".

The whole situation felt like a concocted farce.

They were playing it out like a concussion check and Fitzgerald was arguing with them that he didn't need to leave, and he was right because he's been pushed down hundreds of times in his career without needing medical attention.

Putting on a play to make the flag look legitimate.

Yes, Fitzgerald knew he took no blow to the head and was perplexed. It was all quite odd.

Shitty call but the Bama retards are loving it like their favorite Ref. Tom Ritter! Another Saban ball sucker!

Normally I get annoyed by a million threads on the same thing, but in this situation I'm glad. frick moving on and letting everybody forget about this. We have to keep the blatant unfairness of the SEC and NCAA in the spotlight. The whole nation outside of Bama sees what's been going one and everybody is sick and tired of it. Keep making noise Tiger fans!

That was the strangest part of the whole fiasco. They ordered him off the field while he was saying that he was fine. The refs were trying to make it look like a worse hit than it really was. That what makes the whole affair appear to be some sort of coordinated effort by the refs and the SEC replay reviewers to get White out of the first half of the Bama game.

As it happened I was asking out loud to my TV, "now, why are they making him leave the field?"

Fitzgerald got up off the ground and was headed back to the huddle when they told him to get off the field.

Another question - was he even evaluated by MSU's trainers when he was forced to the sideline? Only shot on TV had him standing there waiting to re-enter the game after the next play.

No tinfoil hats needed to see this call. About as bad as PP's non-interception!

I asked immediately when I noticed 7Fitz arguing with them.

Wonder if we need to get MS St to revealed what was said to their QB

No, he was not evaluated. I sit on that side of the field at about the 35 about 30 rows up...I watched as Nick came off the field to see if he was woozy...he was not. Came off the field, took his helmet off, drank some water and went in on the next play.

Shows that they thought there was hit to head which video showed there was not. I am actually ok with initial call if this is consistently called, see bama versus Tennessee. Replay is where they could have fixed and didn’t even review again

Nicky F wanted to get back out there to throw another interception.

The refs unnecessary escorting of Fitz off the field, a 10 second review to confirm, and an official statement on the matter from the SEC office in Birmingham before I could even get my tailgate picked up....nothing to see here folks.

My buddy is a State fan and he said the same thing. It looked like they did it to legitimatize the call. It was a total b.s. call.

Its worth mentioning Fitzgerald never went through any type of "protocol" when he left the field...

No one told Fitzgerald the plan, so he was confused about his part
