The way USC has played, no one can hang with them. Problem with USC is they often get one or two stupid losses a year.

If USC plays up to their potential every game this year, they will be NC. If they played up to their potential last year, they could have been national champs.

All this being said, I think USC is the team to beat.

And what the heck is all this garbage about troy beating OSU. If troy beats OSU it will be a huge upset. OSU has way more talent than troy, and talent goes a far way in the college game.

What is going on with tiger rant these days. It seems like preseason, there was a lot more rational behavior on the board.

But some of you guys are saying that troy will beat OSU. Get a grip people.

I have always said that osu and the Big 10 in general are placed on a pedistal. I don't get it. But that doesn't mean that OSU is not a good football team.

OSU will beat troy. I don't know of care if they will beat them by 21 points. If I had to guess, I would say they likely will, because I think they are going to be pissed about getting humiliated on national tv by usc.

I know some of you think there is SEC football, and then perhaps USC, and then there is nothing else. But there are some really good football teams out there that are not in the SEC and IN GENERAL (discounting the BE and ACC), most BCS teams can handle most non BCS teams. Now there are exceptions, but in general, the bcs teams get the better recruits and have better facilities than the non bcs schools.

Sorry to burst your bubble big guy, but Troy came close to beating us in 2004. We only beat them by 4 points. Ohio State better come to play...and we better be ready to play come November as well. The Trojans are bound to upset somebody this year. I just hope it's Ohio State and not us.

Or worse yet, maybe they are this year's South Florida/App State.

I'm not sure the Big 12 isn't the strongest conference this year.

terrelle pryor is gonna receive 65% of the snaps and run all over troy's arse...this will be the first game when the country realizes the talent that is terrelle pryor.

Troy over tOSU straight up would be a bit risky,
to put it mildly.

That would be a dumb bet since you can get Troy +21 at any book in town.

He is going to receive that with the 1st team offense during this week in practice.

Hopefully he gets more during the game.

If they packed it in for the season it could happen.

Based on what I've seen this season that wouldn't matter. It's still possible for Troy to beat them. Probable, no. But Ohio St. isn't nearly as good as most of their fans think they are. I just hope everyone continues to see the proof.

But seriously, after watching USC play the last 2 weeks, who in the hell can hang with them? I've also watched all of the top SEC schools and there is no comparison. GA, Auburn and Ala would get smoked. FL might hang within 2 TDs just because of Tebow, and we'll know more about LSU after this weekend.
Because they blew out a horrible ACC team and a nationally overrated Ohio State? Wow, and I thought you Buckeyes were only delusional about your own team.

i think troy plays ohio state very close and probably leads at least a few times in the game, but in the end i think they will get worn out and OSU beats them. i think it could definitely be within 7pts though. then again this is college football, so its really too hard to tell.

as for this whole argument: USC is in LSU's shoes last year. beginning the season the title is theirs for the taking. they beat UV [comparable to miss st.] and then they beat OSU [comparable to VT last season]. after we annihilated VT we looked ridiculously good. and frankly that wasnt too far off the mark. we just delt with underperforming in a few games and scattered injuries, but that is college football. granted we had a much harder schedule last year than USC does this year, its really not that much different. the NC is theirs to frick up.

frankly i dont give too much of a shite about it because we have to take care of our own business before we can worry about anyone elses.

Honestly, if we play like we did vs USC, Beanie does not play and Boeckman gets the majority of the snaps, Troy has a good shot at beating us.
Dude don't make it sound like you "beat yourselves" you were outgunned, outclassed and outcoached in every aspect of the game. It was a replay of the last to NCG's and no amount of "scheming" or the "ball bouncing the right way" would have changed it the outcome.

Hang your head in shame.
