I can understand a little bit, why things became so disorganized at the end. I believe we have had that day when things just go to heck and there is no saving the situation. Unfortunately for Les it was in front of a national audience.

Trust me his shitty days turn to pure euphoria when he goes home and stares at his pay stubs

Theres nothing disorganized about letting 19 seconds run off the clock before calling a timeout.

Well, he said he called it and got into calling the next play only to find out the ref didn't stop the clock. Even though if I'm the coach i would listen for the whistle. I figure he was in Oh s&^t mode after being in a position to win on the 31 to 4th and 26 on the 49 yard line.

He didn't call shite. He just assumed a timeout had been called. When time is precious, you get in the ref's face and make sure he both sees and hears timeout.

He sure got in the Refs face to avoid the Delay in the first half. Why, when the game is on the line, would he not do the same thing?

Miles blew the timeout call. He is too busy arguing with Crowton or whatever goes on in that headset to stay focused on the game.

He didn't even know that the timeouts were all used up. Read his lips to the BR Police Escort.

For 3.8 million, Miles should not have his head in his arse.

He gets paid $3.8M a year to get it RIGHT.

Its not volunteer YMCA crap.

Truth is, he's in over his head. Has been since he left Okie State.

Truth is, its Bertman's fault.

Often when Skip would be pissed at one of his players, he'd say, "Son, its not your fault. It's mine. I recruited you."

Skip made sure he didn't hire someone like Saban who was pushing him around... someone not quite so bright. He did good, huh?

The one that is not quite so bright is you sonnyboy. When Skip snapped, nick the midget got up on his step ladder, looked Skip in the eye and said "yes sir, how can I help you?"

If you try to chalk this up to "having a bad day", you really are refusing to address the problem.
terrible clock management, disorganization, penalites for delay of game, illegal formation, etc. are now commonplace for LSU.
If you run a sideline like that long enough , it will catch up to you.It did so in spectacular, graphic fashion before a national audience on Sat. No objective, knowledgeable fan is surprised.
If you are head coach and this happens in ONE game, you correct it. That this circus has gone on for this long tells me that Miles doesn't ahve the management skills to be a head coach.I didn't want to believe that either, but now I have been forced to look at it.
He's agood guy, great recruiter , etc. His skillset will never permit him to be an outstanding head coach, and we've won despite this failing.

Jeff Tedford and his young QB had "that day" a couple of years ago, if you'll recall.

People act like this type of shite has never happened before.

Not that it's ever excusable, but this isn't the first major coaching clusterfrick in high-level CFB.

good points, but it doesn't surprise me the responses you get back for stating the truth. There are a lot of fatass genius (in there own minds) that spend their days typing away on here who will be glad to disagree with you

Cal's young qb was confused and came off the field with the ball. Yes, it's on Tedford, but what happened Saturday is all on Miles. His clock management was his own doing, really nothing on the players.

That is about as accurately as it could be stated.

Right on. I've defended Miles for several years, but I can't anymore. Deer in the headlights at the end of the game.

Also, Crowton is a complete failure as an OC. The no-huddle gimmick has been a huge flop. With a new QB and young players, he should have never kept up the nonsense. Talking about a lack of intellectual flexibility - doesn't work, try something different. Most of the plays are called in late, the O has no time to think or prepare - thus the "predictable" calls. It has NOTHING to do with JJ or anyone else on the field, those guys are excellent athletes and would thrive under a gifted coach. If GC doesn't go, then Miles needs to hand over the great guys he's recruited to someone who knows what to do with them.
