I can understand a little bit, why things became so disorganized at the end

I never saw anything that explained why he didn't call another play just in case LSU converted during that timeout. Miles certainly didn't prepare his team for every situation in that timeout he wasted all that time before calling. I don't think you can ever understand why a football coach getting paid $4 million to do his job royally screwed up that situation so badly.

He stated in his interview they didn't believe they had enough time to run two plays. So they called a rollout hoping jefferson could heave it to the end zone. Ole miss contained him in the pocket a certain "center got beat again" and JJ had to throw it before he could put his all into it making the ball come up short. Once the ball was caught with a second left on the clock,,,,,It became an "Oh s(*t" moment for Les and co.

He didn't call shite. He just assumed a timeout had been called. When time is precious, you get in the ref's face and make sure he both sees and hears timeout.

Again, some folks don't get that in that particular situation, the captain on the field, aka QB should be getting into the officials face to make sure the T.O. is called. It's the whole team that failed, coaches and players. Chances are better than good that MF, JR, hell even RP get that a T.O. must be called and called NOW. You don't wait for the coach because your game sense has kicked in and you don't have to be told that time is precious. 5th year seniors like CB, BL and LH should have had presence of mind to get the T.O. called if JJ and the coaches had vapor-locked. Alas, it was a total team meltdown. Inexplicable and total.

Well, he said he called it and got into calling the next play only to find out the ref didn't stop the clock. Even though if I'm the coach i would listen for the whistle. I figure he was in Oh s&^t mode after being in a position to win on the 31 to 4th and 26 on the 49 yard line.

So, he "assumed" the timeout was called at the most critical point in the game, but he ran like a bat out of hell and jumped in the refs face to call a timeout and avoid a delay of game penalty in the 2nd quarter? OK

The buck still stops with Miles in that case. Miles should have told JJ to call timeout after third down as soon as the play is over.

Of course he didn't have enough time to run two plays BECAUSE HE LET 20 + SECONDS RUN OFF THE CLOCK BEFORE CALLING TIMEOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, but he did have time for two plays He is such an idiot, on the event that a play doesn't actually take 9 seconds (which is way longer than the average play), why not have another one called just in case Les? Or is that just to confusing for you?

You got part of it right however olde les was over his head at OSU and was going to be passed over.

He had no where to go until "skippy" had an opening at a low ball price here to replace Saban.

Hell you could cut olde les's salary in half and he stay till he was removed by force.
