I understand this and I am calm. That's why I'm trying to be objective and curb my expectations for this team. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong but I don't see us going 14-0. Inexperience at QB, LB, and CB (not including Tharold Simon) will tell the story as we get into SEC play.

Last night was a typical Les Miles rent-a-win game. Look back over the years. LSU rarely scores more than 40-something in these games.

We put 21 points on the board in the first quarter. Miles clearly dialed it back after "victory was assured" as he says.

Mett is a huge upgrade at QB. Just the timing and location of his bubble screen passes demonstrate that. The TD throw to Boone would not have been thrown last year.

I think last season showed we could almost go undefeated with a tetraplegic under center. Our running game will be enough to carry us in most games. The QB position doesn't concern me. The other two, I agree, are things to watch.

inexperince at LB and CD does concern me slightly but I think we have an improvement at LB even though they are young, our CBs have plenty of time to improve. But QB are you serious, we had probably the worst two QBs in the SEC last season and we still one the SEC in dominate fashion and now your saying we are going to be in bad shape because our QB is Inexperienced?

Yes, considering we had a comfortable lead the whole game. No problem with that.

Absolutely not. THAT was our newfangled passing game? I was never one to think JJ and JL could have been all that bad all by themselves. That was confirmed. I don't think Studrawa has what it takes.

What did U think about the team n Stud after the SECCG last season?

LM is not going to change his entire process n move from ball control to airing it out. We are 5 deep at RB and one deep at QB---and though a JR this is his first start. Knowing a system and executing are different. Mett will improve as will the team.

We are going to be fine. 14-0 is a tall order. We do have a really good team though and please dont take too much away from last night. Except we be 1-0.

I think we can be. If Mett stays healthy and improves his leadership on the field, we can have a great year. I liked what I saw last night, and I think they will clean up those penalties by next week.

The o-line is good, they just need to get their blocks and protect the QB

I appreciate creative and thoughtful comments such as yours. They are so well thought out and really give great insight. With that said, I take it that your response is that the Tigers will not lose multiple games and will go undefeated this year.

no....but we are a 1-0 team and that does count for something.

as far as 14-0...I've never thought, considering our losses on D and the lack of an elite big receiver, that we would go undefeated. IMHO our squad last season, even with the lack of a dependable qb, was fundamentaly the best LSU has ever fielded. this year we don't seem to have the same kind of star power that we showed in '11. that said, it is important to understand that even with the disruption of game prep and all that mother nature could throw at us....we took care of biddness and beat a well coached and highly motivated squad from North Texas. we will get better...14-0 better? not in the cards. you asked.

prove me wrong.

You see how Oklahoma looked last night? They were winning 10-7 in the 4th quarter. Florida struggled. USCe struggled. Stanford struggled. Arkansas struggled. Texas struggled. Each of these teams looked pretty bad against cream puffs. There is no preseason in NCAA, so coaches test and install new packages against these teams. Calm down.

I don't care, we will still be pretty dominant on defense and special teams. Which will carry us. About the offense, what do you expect? Les miles offense.

I hope people realize LSU would have whipped Michigan in the exact same fashion had they opened with them in Dallas stadium.. and everybody would all be praising them. I am really disgusted by all the negativity. LSU took care of business and looked very impressive.

Exactly. It was basically lsu Oregon last year. TD is full of pussies. Lsu can win every game but 1 running the ball and our toughest game with an evenly matched team is at home. I like our chances.
