It's been the "teens" who have been over the top with the homecoming lately.

I think an equally valid question is one you should ask the "kids":
Is it really worth it to go roll someone's house?
These "kids" probably look a lot like the "teens" that are regularly breaking into vehicles. Doesn't mean the shooter should just start blazing away. But it does explain why they got shot at.
