Their running back and offensive line positions are their weakest positions. I am hoping to see Perk on a blitz and Randall having to pick him up and see what happens. I like that matchup to get a sack/pressure.
I’d agree RB is a question mark, but OL isn’t one of Clemson’s weak spots. The positions I’d call the biggest concerns are:
• Running back
• Punter
• Safety
The offensive line, on the other hand, is actually projected to be a strength:
• 4 of 5 starters return, most with 4+ years in the program.
• 7 of the top 8 have multiple career starts, thanks in part to injuries last year that forced backups into action (experience that carries over now).
• 3 of the starting 5 earned preseason All-ACC recognition.
• Most preseason publications slot Clemson’s OL as a Top 10 unit nationally going into 2025.
That doesn’t mean LSU’s front won’t be a huge challenge, but calling Clemson’s OL a “weakness” is the opposite of how it’s being viewed nationally and by ACC media.

Call it what you want, but reports are that Randall has looked very good at RB. Their Locked On guy who was VERY knowledgable about LS's roster when he broke down our team has said that on an offense full of playmakers, Randall has stood out in his own right.
so do you think LSU should just go ahead and forfeit now? I mean good God the sound way you sound you would think the sky is falling in LSU has no chance

I’m a Clemson and LSU alum — been following Clemson closely for 30+ years. Honestly, I had never even heard of this “Locked On” guy until a month ago when his videos started popping up in my YouTube feed.
For real Clemson coverage, I’ve been a Tiger Illustrated subscriber for years, and in my experience they’ve consistently had the best inside info on the program. I’ve watched a bunch of this Locked On guy’s videos the last 2–3 weeks (dead period, so everyone’s hungry for camp news), and to me he comes off more like a cheerleader than a true insider. He’s hyping a lot of players in ways I just haven’t seen echoed by the more established sources.
Not saying Randall hasn’t looked good — he reportedly has — but I’d take what this guy says with a grain of salt. From everything I’ve seen and read, he’s not someone I’d put in the “reliable, well-connected” tier of Clemson coverage.

Should LSU be concerned with Clemson converting a former WR to RB?
Like lsu just did?
Well, DB->RB->QB->RB

Sir, Derrick Henry is 6’4, Joe Mixon is 6’3, brandon Jacobs was 6’4, Najee Harris is 6’2.

Sir, this is a Wendy’s. Also clearly a joke for me to want a 5’4 RB

The key to stopping big RBs is disruption. If he can hit a hole and full speed, simple momentum will get him five yards. If you get penetration into the backfield and make him bounce or stutter, he will get shut down.

Have you only read this singular post of mine? I have been sky high on LSU. My point was that being a converted WR doesn't automatically make him bad and reports have been that he has been good.
You know what else is a provable fact? Clemson sucked against the run last year. So maybe this converted WR ripping off big gaines in practice is proof that they haven't improved as much as they would like the world to think they have.

I would LOVE for this to be the case. My Clemson news comes from this guy and Tigernet and both think Clemson is the greatest team ever assembled.

I said weakest positions. Offensive line is one of their weakest positions now that could be a strength because of their experience but considering their other positions and the talent they have everywhere else their offensive line is their weakest positions. Especially depth.
I didn't say it was like the 2023 LSU DB spot. It could be the '11 LSU QB spot. But that is one of their weaker spots. I'll give you safety is weaker too but their strength is definitely their Defensive Line, Corner, WRs, and obviously QB.

That’s actually backwards. This is widely thought to be the best and deepest offensive line of Dabo’s tenure.
• 7–8 returning players have multiple career starts, thanks to injuries last season that forced backups into live reps.
• Coaches feel great about 8–9 OL right now, the same way LSU fans feel about their WR depth.
The real depth concerns for Clemson are elsewhere:
• RB – dangerously thin on talent and #s.
• DE – little proven depth beyond the 2 starters.
• LB/secondary – solid starters, but not much behind them.
But depth is NOT a concern at OL, WR, or DT.
And with Matt Luke leading recruiting, Clemson has stacked two straight highly rated OL classes — a big jump from the “average at best” OL recruiting pre-Luke, when Clemson might land one elite prospect every few years.
So no, OL isn’t a weakness in terms of starters or depth. It’s one of the biggest strengths of the roster going into this season.

This is laughable. Their offensive line struggled against the Elite competition last year. So another year of experience means literally nothing. They have 1 player who i would actually grade as a really good college offensive lineman with potential to be a starter at the next level.
Having players with starting experience when they weren't good doesn't make a good depth. Every team has depth, quality depth is what you are looking for. The last several years at LSU we had depth with players with experience but it was not quality so no that doesn't make the Clemson OL good. Between their offensive line and their run defense last year left a whole lot to be desired. Anyone claiming otherwise is a fool lmfao.
