it's actually 22nd because it's ranked by number of players charged per team. It's using the 2010 preseason rankings.
I'd say that LSU is doing really well

2010 preseason rankings. I'm pretty sure Auburn will be in their top 25 for 2011 preseason rankings.

It's really 4th behind Texas, Stanford, and TCU as far as fewest criminals on a top 25 team.

Also, Florida would be much higher if this wasn't just for 2010. How many arrests since CUM took over? Isn't it 19 or so?

I think there is a lot to be proud of there...

Why has this NOT come up in the discussions of Big 10 recruiting at a disadvantage because of their higher standards for themselves (regulations) and their players (academics).

this is one of the most irresponsible pieces of journalism i have ever seen. they use arrests and criminal record interchangeably. they note that in cases where the results are known, 60% of the players charged were convicted or paid a fine. they completely ignore the fact that if that number holds true, 40% of the players who they are claiming have a "criminal record" will not be convicted. they also slam schools for not looking into player's juvenile records ignoring that in most states juvenile records are sealed. they also refer to a player being charged as a juvenile and not as an adult a "loophole"

If you polled ~100 males on most college campuses I promise you way more than 3 of them would have been arrested. Probably could find more than 3 that had been arrested more than once.

I posted on MSB regarding this subject.
The video that was linked to the article said that minor arrests were thrown out. So arrests for PI, for instance, were not included.
Also, I think the fact that juvenile records were not included is something to think about. I assume that most juvenile records are sealed, which means they couldn't be used. That has to be balanced by the very short period of time these guys are adults eligible to rack up offenses as adult offenders. Most of these guys are 18 to 22. That is four years. So, in their first four years of eligbility to be tried as an adult, seven percent were arrest for something other than a minor offense.
Hmmm.

I still maintain that you'd find more than 3/100 males at LSU with an arrest since they've been in school
