I still maintain that you'd find more than 3/100 males at LSU with an arrest since they've been in school

You may or may not be right. Thinking back to my own college experience at LSU, I just can't imagine that high a percentage among my peers.

Don't forget that some of the students in your sampling have only been 18 for a short time. I was 17 when I started at LSU. When you throw out the minor incident reports (driving with a suspended license was one "crime" that was not included in the survey), you still think you're going to get 3 out of 100 by interviewing students in the Quad?

Yes, especially if you only poll males, as they obviously did with the FB team.

DUI, assault and battery (could get this from a bar fight), contributing to the delinquency of a minor (buying your friend beer), open container, and possession are probably the most common charges that I hear of around campus. While it is easy to avoid any of these charges, it is also easy to make these types of mistakes while being young, dumb, and drunk.

marijuana possession is a biggie too. 3/100 would be an incredibly small percentage of males that have been arrested IMO

open container,

This is precisely the kind of offense that was excluded.

BTW, when I was in school, you could drink at 18 so we didn't get minor in possession charges. And as far as I knew open containers were encouraged.

I meant while driving.

I know. That wasn't illegal back then. It was a different time.
