It's exactly like the 6-6 predictions of 2018.

If this team wins 8 games this year, the SEC is fricked come 2021.

All our young players are going to get reps this year and it doesn’t count against eligibility. Our team will be stacked for the next few years.

Lol. I saw Neuhsiel has us 6-4. Someone from 247 had us at 4-6. It’s hilarious and it will be even more hilarious when we beat everyone again.

I have the same optimism about this team.

But I am getting closer to panic mode about the number of defensive players we are losing.

Will we be ok?

We are going to find out how good O is at player development. We are going to learn a lot about the long term trajectory of this program this season. If the young guys come out and exceed expectations, the SEC is on notice.

I think we will destroy everyone except for maybe Florida and Bama. Auburn lost a crap ton also but they haven’t recruited like LSU. LSU is vastly being underrated.

We may be losing players but the players we happen to be losing, they have just as good or better backups. We still have solid leadership too. When you lose players, that’s what you worry about, not talent.

Chase and a pass rusher is really all we are really missing, except for Burrow but the players defending Brennan are saying this guy is very good. I happen to believe them. They don’t look or sound like they’re hyping him up. We have plenty of leadership coming back and have added some. Shelvin wasn’t going to have a huge impact.

We add players in the secondary like Harris and already have guys like Flott, Stingley, Hampton, Stevens, Ward and the young guys. We added some LBers. Added some OL. And we have some guys like Gay on the DL, along with Ika and the young talent. Freshman can have a big impact on the DL. Idk what these people are thinking but they’ll be in for a little surprise imo.

I get your point. If O can lead this team above expectations, it's more fuel for the fire and SEC really fricked.

Regardless, I wouldn't put a lot of weight on this season. O headed the best team in CFB history. If anything, this season is a pass for most any coach. For O, lifetime pass.

Let the media do what they attempt to do best. Talk... The talent in the freshmen class alone is enough to beat the middle pack and bottom-feeders of the SEC.

People underestimate Coach O's drive to win, he will have this team hungry and mentally prepared. The mental aspect of the game and mindset shift that occurred last year with the new scheme had our guys showing up to each game with that humbled confidence that champions need to have. It was the "they've got to beat us" in the driver seat type feeling that we certainly rolled into Alabama with even after the past near-decade of disappointment against them. We will surely have that same mindset this year, and probably every year that Coach O is here as HC.

Plus, Coach O is now a national championship-winning head coach. In having a season like last year, it opens a whole new outlook on the program. He now has the keys and tools and knows exactly what is necessary to attempt a repeat of success. It's part of the reason why the same few coaches have been winning.

who knows our record? With corona, every game is an unknown, with players on both sides being quarantined.

Sadly, this is just a lost season, for everyone. Championships will have an asterisk. It’s just the way it is.

Let’s hope we’re back to normal in 2021.
