Fixed. Let's talk about the drive
To the people that are coming up 59, it is a hell of a drive. Driving through bama is kinda boring, but it ok. It starts to get scenic around chattnooga,(anybody that has driven to knoxville knows this). Ad for traffic through the trip you shouldn't see any depending on what knoxville traffic looks like.
The rest of drive is pretty nice if your a scenic lover. If you don't want to do the entire 16-17 hour drive in one day I suggest staying around the new river gorge, bluefield or Charleston, (I would also suggest checking out the Greenbrier if you don't mind a thirty minute or so detour. That's only if your really interested in seeing the place.)
The only place I would really recommend stomping and taking a look is New River gorge. If you have ever wanted to do some real whitewater rafting this is the place to do it. It is a good idea to check on family packages and what not.
All in all it is gonna be I believe one of the best road games in a long time, as far as fans and generally having a good time. The best thing about all this, is the fact morgantown still has no idea what it is in for as the LSU fanfare in concerned. I believe we will have more people in morgantown than we did in blacksburg.
Should be an awesome time though

I just want LSU fans to bring lots of food...best food Ive ever eaten was last September...so please, bring lots...
Also, if LSU fans are really concerned about safety...just wear yellow LSU shirts and you will blend right in with the masses as you're walking into the stadium...nobody will notice after a day of boozing...

man, excellent guide....Jersey Tiger posted a similar one to Seattle a couple of years ago and it helped tens of thousands of people enjoy their trip....I expect this one to do the same...I hope I can find it in a few months...
this has me fired up for the trip....

We used to...but we burned them after a Virginia Tech game...

Some of the LSU fans are sore losers, but I like to think the larger majority of the LSU fanbase is cool win or lose.

im dead serious when I say this, and its not just because on on your board....but LSU fans were the coolest ive ever been around...Auburn fans were pretty cool, but not to the level of LSU...and Georgia fans were assholes before, during, and after we beat them in the Sugar Bowl...

Both my parents went to WVU and LSU, so I had a good understanding on how awesome the overall fan atmosphere was gonna be for the game.
Did not disappoint
Eta- there isn't enough cool fanbases in the north, the best ones o could think of is 1. WVU 2. Syracuse? 3. ?

thanks...I certainly enjoyed the company of some WV fans at my tailgate...
I have to admit though, some LSU fans take it way over the line IMO.....luckily, that is typically reserved for our SEC rivals....

Yeah. I was actually still concerned about how the tech fans were going to be treated in 07, there was still quite a few fans still pissed from blacksburg

if the virginia tech shootings had not taken place, i think the atmosphere at that game would have been totally different.....i know i still had hard feelings about what happened in blacksburg....
i think it's going to be an interesting mix of fanbases with the LSU fans being unimpressed with the stadium area, the WVU folks aren't going to understand what is headed their way until it happens....this is the closest LSU has played to a large alumni base (NYC and DC) since Blacksburg...there will be a big turnout

not sure why anybody would be unimpressed...dont expect 90,000 SEC type stadium, and everything will be fine...

the WVU stadium is a nice facility and overall is more modern than Tiger Stadium....the area around the stadium with the parking situation and only one bar within a mile of the place....welllllll, that leaves a lot to be desired....

there is more than one bar near the stadium now, it just happens to be the downtown area is a few miles from the stadium that just a minor obstacle

Should we bring our own couch or is there somewhere we can pick one up for cheap?
