LSU is the "winner", Miles is the face of the program who gets the credit. In reality, its alot more than Miles that accounts for the program's success. Excellent Louisiana talent, Tommy Moffitt's S&C program, one of the best defensive coordinators and staffs year in year out that LSU pays for.

I think "most fans" take any L hard cause of what Nick/Les have spoiled us with in the
last decade or so.
Thankfully, "most fans" get over the L and move on to the next game fairly quick.

I've heard the same story ... and no I'm not kidding.

Actually, it cost us a NC. It gave us a chance at an NC. And one time it gave us both a chance and an actual NC.
Good with the bad. Easy to say, hard to understand.

Apparently I'm late to helping you understand things. Maybe repetition is good for you.

Ok so you want to give everyone else involved in LSU credit when we win and say everyone is responsible for the success (I agree this is 100% true). However, when we lose you want to just say its all Miles' fault and he sucks and costs us national championships. That makes no sense.

Yeah but the problem is, most fans, especially the ones on here, are incredibly stupid and don't understand that. Or the fact that he has won two BCS bowls and two SEC Championships in 7 years. They just don't like the way he coaches and we don't win with enough style points, so the coach sucks and thats the reason we havent gone undefeated and won the national championship every year since he got here.
Unrealistic, I gave up trying to reason with people who think LSU should win by 50 and have seven nattys in a row.

Pelini was the reason for the 2007 NC? Did you really say that? Truth is, he is more likely to be the reason we didn't go undefeated than the reason we won it.

no. everyone deserves credit for a win and everyone deserves credit for a loss.
But, I would rather lose a game because the other team was better that day, not because my head coach was clueless on the sideline and mismanaged the clock. Or because the team was not prepared and ready to play...

Right well you are making excuses for every loss in order to blame it on Miles basically.
Alabama was the better team that day. No one in the world can argue that at all. The clock was not mismanaged. Miles wasn't clueless. We got beat. Bama's defense came to play and laid the wood to us.
Florida outplayed us in the second half. WRs dropped passes. ODB fumbled a ball in FG range that would have put us ahead. Defense got tired and UF took advantage and score. They put together a good game plan in the second half and they executed it to perfection. They team was fully prepared for the game.

no doubt, hopefully one day we'll have a coach who produces a stellar record completely on his on, without any help from his staff, players, support team, etc.

what role do you give Crowton in '07 when he was in his 1st year? I remember seeing the tv cameras panning up to the press box as Crowton called the next play. Who is calling plays today? who is responsible for the offense being in the mid 80s in D1 football over the last several years including this one?
my point is Miles is a good CEO. he doesnt know Xs and Os. thats why he depends on LSU to hire excellent coordinators around him. 2003: Muschamp and Fisher. 2007: Pelini and Crowton. 2011: Chavis and Miles!!!! and look what happened...

Name one successful college program that doesn't have great recruits and coaching staffs?

I agree. and they were also better prepared and disciplined. Down 21-0 in the 2nd half, Miles ran it up the middle with RBs and Jeffereson....3 and out, turnover, 3 and out... The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result.... I just feel bad for the seniors and outgoing Juniors that Miles failed to do his job on 1/9.
