I'll try and answer your reply, however I'm on a phone so keep this in mind
- he will be forever compared to saban as long as saban is at Alabama.
- your right the game hasn't been played, notice you left out the part where I said from the looks of thing... Do you not agree comparing the 2 right now Bama is better?
- getting us to a championship and winning one are two different things.. That's why I said playing for 2nd
- a top 15 recruiting class every year says you have the talent to win championships bro.
- none of those schools you mention don't lock down there borders near like lsu with in state talent. Anything else?

By the fans only.

Yes. But 2010 was very similar.

quote:

getting us to a championship and winning one are two different things.

The difference in one game.

quote:

a top 15 recruiting class every year says you have the talent to win championships bro

But it does not mean head and shoulders above everybody else, bro. 2008 was the only crap year on record.

quote:

none of those schools you mention don't lock down there borders near like lsu with in state talent

But they produce more talent than any other state. USC has the pick of the litter. So does Texas. Louisiana has great talent, but many states produce more.

Anything else?

Your tone's all wrong.

I'm not trying to be an arse man I just legitimately believe we have a serious problem as long as we avoid throwing downfield and this offense needs something to happen.
We differ on our opinion of miles because he has the talent and it has not developed to near where it should be.
- oh and to answer the question I think we should we 2 to 3 NC right now... Maybe just wishful thinking

I know. I was quoting Gert B. Frobe from Joe Dirt.

quote:

2 to 3 NC right now

I think only the 2006 season was a wasted opportunity. However, it set up 2007.

Offensively, LSU struggles. Adjustments have to be made now with backup OL and the specific personnel playing. The boring formula has worked for the most part. But that was with a healthy team.

Why because I question this offense? If that's the case I guess 75 percent of this board are "blubbering idiots" but I'm sure you know more than everyone else don't you....

my point is Miles is a good CEO. he doesnt know Xs and Os. thats why he depends on LSU to hire excellent coordinators around him. 2003: Muschamp and Fisher. 2007: Pelini and Crowton. 2011: Chavis and Miles!!!! and look what happened..

I can only respond to what you actually said in the earlier post, that Pelini was the reason for the 2007 NC. That's bunk.

Also, Miles wasn't here in '03.... so I guess Muschamp and Fisher won that one for the midget.

That about sums it up in my view. Other than seeing the games through an alcoholic haze, what are the qualifications of these people? Just because the offense isn't what they run on their XBox makes them experts?
Seriously? You need to do better than that to justify your position.

but I'm sure you know more than everyone else don't you....

Isn't that what you "75%ers" are saying? Is that you feel about youself? That you and this magical 75% know better than the LSU staff?

You don't see the hypocrisy in that?

No ... several posters on here have questioned the offense, but they at least supported their arguement. You on the other hand demonstrated your lack of knowledge by using phrases like "we are head and shoulders above everyone else talent wise". It's this type of "misinformation" that leads to unrealistic expectations and much of the anger displayed in this forum.

8 months ago everyone was in agreement that this offense would ve sick with mett throwing and all the talent around him. Now your agruement is we dont have that talent instead of questioning why were running the ball with 9 men in the box. i admit dropped balls are an issue however running the most predictable offense in college football seems to be a bigger issue. I think ive made my case u just choose to ignore the facts

Who decided that Mett would be great? And based on what?

quote:

all the talent around him

Receivers have underperformed this year ... either that or they weren't as talented as everyone thought.

quote:

we dont have that talent

OL is decimated by injury, jury is still out on this group of WR, Mett appears slow in making reads, particularly CB blitzes. As much as I heard "we staaaaacked, SEC fuuuucked" this offseason, I can see where the unrealistic expectaions have come from.

You think wrong.

That talent, which hasn't been developed, has had LSU in the Top 10 since 11-2010. Can you name me another LSU/SEC HC whose talent, developed or not, was able to do the same?

Can you tell me another LSU/SEC HC whose talent, developed or not, lead LSU to national rankings of #1 #2, #3, #4, #5, and #8?

Thanks guys for giving such great responses Grey Chef and 1984Tiger. I had a dinner engagement I could not break.

Now to the fun.
quote:

From the looks of things right now Bama will kill us and we have just as much talent if not more than them. Anyone who can't admit that is a fool.

I won't admit Alabama has more talent than us but they are damn sure equal. Anyone that can't admit that is a fool. And from the looks of things after thee MSU game last year, I was afraid of going to WVU. What did the Tigers do? Run off 10 straight victories and all but one of them was more than 20 points. Guess that shows how much last week means to this week or weeks later in the season.

quote:

Everyone agrees we have had a good run,

Not some of the rantards that post here. We are doomed and have been since Les Miles got here. The Golden Era of LSU football and you and certain rantards are too miserable to enjoy it.

quote:

having a terrible offense and shitty play calling cost us a national championship last year and will do it again this year.

Those dumbass coaches and worthless players along with that crappy play book got us to the NCG. We laid an egg. Miles admits it, players admit it, fans saw it. We got it. We looked bad for 7% of the season. Get the frick over it. It has nothing to do with this year or any year in the future.

quote:

I along with a lot of other people are not happy coming in second every year when we are head and shoulders above everyone else talent wise.

I can name 119 of 120 programs that would like to be second. Name all the teams that have had a better 7 year run. The only 2 you could possibly even mention is Bama and UF. 2 regular opponents that have been as good as us but that we have done well against compared to anyone else in CFB. The difference, 1 game. Head and shoulders talent wise? Don't look at much recruiting do you.

quote:

Pump les miles up all you want but where this program is at in regards to talent in this state and the resources available to him. He has under performed.

We have a talent rich state to recruit from and some of the finest facilities. But which is it? LSU can recruit with you as the head coach or Miles runs off talent because he can't coach. The talent does not just show up, someone has to go get it. Miles has proven more than capable of that. What you fail to get is no one gets all the talent they want every year. We have performed well in the toughest conference anywhere but the NFL.

Underperformed? 2 coaches in the ENTIRE history of LSU football have led Number 1 ranked teams during the season. Paul Dietzel and Les Miles. Give me that under performing bafoon, I'll take him. You go root for Bama where your hero resides.
