Probably an 81% chance that we beat both of them - 90% on each.

So, LaCouture, Godchaux, Neal, Bower, Tre White, Savion, Jamal Adams, Donte Jackson are just "slightly above average"?

Nope! Three solid starters coming back and a bench that is finally full of studs from the last three years of Grimes recruiting.

our QB is very below avg

Yikes! He was average LAST year. He'll surely be a little improved. Highly likely he'll be in the top half of the SEC.

Ever notice that luck only happens to really good teams? Saban is always in the hunt for the title. That's not luck.

Most likely this team goes 10-2, then it just depends on the bowl matchup.

You miss the injury bug and get a lil lucky, that can easily turn into 12-1 with a play off spot.

Your right but it does show that no matter how good you are you still need a little luck to win a NC. It is really hard to win every game you play and once you lose one you need some luck to be able to overcome that. Bama has only been undefeated in one of their championships.

SABAN'S LUCK AT BAMA.
1. Never dealing with major injury.
2. From 2009-2014 playing USC,UF,And UGA and total of 3 games while lsu has played these 3 teams a total of 9 times in that span.
3. During the bridge scheduling era Bama never once played even he outright 3rd place finisher in the east.
4. During the bridge schedule era Bama got 4 sec west home games in 2012 while every other west team got 3 and A&M got 2 west home games.
5. Not playing UGA during the regular season for 7 years.
6. being voted into a title game without even winning their division and getting in over team with a far far better resume.
7. Arkansas converting a 4th and 25 against ole miss that would've ended the game and Bama wouldnt have won the west.
------------------------------------------------------------

1. Robert Foster was Alabama's #1 WR to start the year and was lost for the year against Wisconsin. I would think that's a pretty significant injury.

Alabama's starting center was lost for most of the year the year before last and they continued to win.

LSU winning with 2 losses in 2007 far exceeds all of your list above.

Any team that wins a championship is going to have to have some luck at some point in the year.

I think anyone who watched Ole Miss / Alabama last year would agree that Ole Miss got some serious breaks in that game.

The consistent programs tend to get the breaks because they are always in a position to win a championship. Teams should put themselves in that place in mid to late November and let the chips fall where they may.

EVERY Saban SEC recruiting class, including LSU, has experienced a NC title.

Call it luck, looks like consistency.

more players on NFL rosters than ANY other school and you come back with some recruiting rankings that don't mean diddly. Once again you've proved yourself to be an idiot.

Not all those players are on the same team. That's why LSU has continued success and didn't see the dips other great programs have had and why only schools like tosu have as many wins in that time period, they have continued to recruit well over the last 15 years plus.

Another example would be look at the star players from LSU. Skill players, wrs, dbs. They are great to have, but these guys aren't winning you championships. Our talent and coaching needs to get better on the lines and I think this year we will finally see it.

10-2 is the most realistic prediction based on the math.

Good god bruh.

What? We were the sec west and sec champ. Only an idiot would say the sec champ playing for a title is more lucky than a team not winning its own division playing for a title.

No shite thats why i said Saban has been extremely lucky during his run. Only someone with bias would say otherwise. I see you left the entire bridge schedule shite off your retort.

No shite. He can thank the sec home office and bridge scheduling for that. For 4 years he didnt even play the 3rd place finisher in the east. Saban is a goat recruiter and good x and o (not great) coach but he has had lots of help and the has had the national media excuse several losses that wouldnt be excused for other programs. To deny this just isnt being honest.

If the players jell quickly to the new defensive scheme and Brandon Harris can be just average....... there will be very tight games....but....only Alabama seriously worries me because they will take the run totally away..... and we will win or lose based totally on throwing the ball.

We will make the playoff.

From there.....who knows.

Then you clearly didnt pay attention during the bridge scheduling era.

1. Bama got 4 sec west home games in 2012 while the rest of the SEC West teams got 3.
2. The best east programs of the last 7-8 years are USC,UF ans UGA. From 2009-2014 bama played those 3 programs a total of 3 times. In thats same span lsu has played those 3 programs a total of 10 times.
3. UGA and bama were supposed to be playing each other in 2013 but UGA got removed from theor schedule and was replaced by Kentucky.
4. During the bridges era where thwy were making it up as they went along, bama never once played a east team that was the outright 3rd place team, let alone the 1st and 2nd place east teams.
If you cant see the huge advantage that those were for bama, then you just have blinders on.

I showed you facts about the advantages that went Bama's way. You would have to be a fricking idiot to not admit Saban has been extremely lucky the last 5-6 years.
At no point did i say he wasnt the best coach. I consider him the GOAT but that doesn't make me blind to the obvious luck theyve had during Saban's run.

How is this not lucky?

I see it the same way as you Rickdaddy. Saban has gotten damn near every break imaginable during the years you have posted. The problem with trying to argue with some of these assholes is that they have an agenda, and for most of them they hate Miles and adore saban.

You're fighting a losing battle trying to prove your point.
