Sloan thinks he’s the smartest man in the room with all that presnap bull. Other teams know this and trap him into changing a winning play. He is too reactionary to what the defense is showing rather than executing the best plays. Both Sloan and Nuss have the yips. They need to simplify the presnap routine and give Nuss more time to read the defenses.

It would be interesting to know how much Nuss checks out of the initial play call.

One thing Les Miles taught as a fundamental.

Formation is not the problem. Blocking (run blocking especially) is the problem and has been the problem since Kelly got here.

About a week ago, someone on here "in the know" claimed that the team does not practice much live run blocking. Said the primary focus is on pass protection and reacting to blitzes. Therefore, we never develop the physical running game this conference demands.

We don't have an identity because we have a shitty OC

As an OC your hands are tied when your O-line isn't that good. With the WR's we have our OC is probably pissed about what he is limited to call

so, you think the solution to a bad OL is to keep running the ball up the middle over and over again? Against Florida, Berry had 1 carry. Thomas had 0 carries, even though he's been effective this year running the ball. We have 1 drive where we use tempo and throw across the middle, then easily score a TD. We then abandoned all of those calls the remainder of the game.

It isn't the OL, it isn't the QB. It's our OC (and Head Coach) not putting our offensive players in a position to be successful.
