If I had to chose a replacement Dan Mullen and Kevin Sumlin would be in the conversation. Jim Harbaugh would be my top desire, but not likely to happen.

Agreed! Especially Kevin Sumlin. He may be one of the best coaches in the nation.

Holy shite.

how is sumlin the best coach in the nation? I thought that was saban. LOL

It doesnt matter guys, we will never have the best coach as long as saban is at bama. Plain and simple. Id rather keep a guy that is a proven winner in the sec and against saban, then throw away the next couple of seasons when we still have legit shots at the sec and bcs title. we will have even more of a shot come play offs. Teams like lSU and bama will only benefit from that because of our defense and losing 1-2 games wont mean the end of the world.

CLM may be lacking on occasion when it comes to game time decisions but answer me the following: What's his record at LSU? What's his record in night games at Tiger Stadium? What do his recruiting classes look like year to year? Do his players graduate for the most part? How much trouble has he been in with the NC2A? Has he won NC's at LSU? He's a 1st class individual. Who would you like to replace him with? Gene Chizik? Now THAT'D be the biggest bonehead decision ever made! LSU will win another NC, under CLM's direction, in the next 3 years. You naysayers out there want to replace someone with a body of work like that? No wonder folks think cajuns are nuts! :)
Cajuns are frickin nuts ....Gene Chizik? HELL no...Dan Mullen, or Kevin Sumlin should be on the radar. CLM is a good guy, class act on his on, but he lacks discipline of his players, and shitty crunch time decisions...look at all the off the field shite since he's been here (discipline), on the field LSU's penalty record (discipline). Look at all the drops by receivers (discipline). Look at Copelands 3 personal fouls this year (discipline).
Crucial decision making in clutch situations....he caves under pressure, he tosses logic out and decides on emotion and ego (imo). He's a good dude, but LSU needs a good coach. CLM aint it IMO. LSU's "brand" gets top recruits just as much as CLM's charm. He's selling a top tier product to those boys, not a tough sell.

CLM isn't going, I get it...but if he fricks up, us nutty coonasses are going to call him out on it EVERY time.

You rt, cus saban never had problems with discipline. You do know we were the most penalized team in 2003 rt? LSU's Brand? LOL get over yourself dude, we have never recruited nationally like we have under miles. People outside of la dont even know where baton rouge is. Guys like sam montgomery are here because of les miles, not LSU.

Again a lot of penalties are on the defensive side. 2 weeks ago people were praising john chavis, when its his defense that has kept drives alive and other teams in the game just as much as the offense has sucked. Yet when the defense plays awesome it s cus miles keeps his hands off it, when they dont play the best they can, its miles fault. Same goes with the offense, oh stud must have called that game, or les had nothing to do with the O from 05-08, he just now has taken complete control from 09. People just pick shite out to fit their agenda cus they never liked the guy from day 1.

Name one thing LSU has the other top programs dont? Ill give you a hint... They are in a crime ridden town in one of the poorest states in the country, yet thats not a tough sell. Let me tell you, people all over are foaming at the mouth to live in baton rouge. LOL.

I like him fine...Matter of fact, I hear lots of praise from my sister about him and his family. She is an acquaintance of theirs personally...He's a fine guy, just a questionable coach IMO.

As far as LSU being a top school top recruits desire to play...I stand by my opinion. As I said, CLM's charm and LSU being LSU, they are about equal in importance to recruiting. Les has even said it himself..."Guys come here to play in big games like these." paraphrasing.

Again, i understand he's not going any place. but if he makes a bonehead decision or 2 or 5...he is going to hear about it from the fans.

I am not saying there is someone but did you know Miles was capable or Saban was capable before they came?

Agreed! We have a ton of retarded fans.

Funny thing... Miles made a few questionable calls... and still coached circles around lil nicky.

I would love to see these shitty LSU fans love child, lil nicky, compile the wins that Les does with the same B.S. Les has had to go thru the last few seasons with the QB problems and injuries this season

Did I hear Moscona right when he said we were without 15 opening week players.

Would lil nicky have won if you took away 15 players, several of which were starters???

Not a chance in hell.

coulda, woulda, shoulda..... How about going for 2 after 1st TD? We coulda done that and if we mighta and were successful, it woulda tied us up at 14 because you woulda kicked the FG instead of the fake earlier.

That 4 point spread that mighta been or shoulda been woulda tied us up at game end. But Alabama coulda gone for 2 and if they woulda, mighta been successful. Why the MUSTANG I will never know?

With that being said:

IT WAS AN AWESOME GAME AND THE REASON I LOVE 'DEM LSU TIGERS!!

Les isn't a good coach at all. He turns 5 stars in to day 2 nfl picks (see Spencer Ware and Russell Sheppard). He recruits well but doesn't make them better. Alabama can recruit 3 stars and make them 1st rounders

Mo Claiborne, Michael Brockers...

LSU being LSU

LSU has always been LSU.

This state has always produced good HS talent.

With LSU always being LSU and with the state always having top recruits, LSU won 7 SEC titles in 60+ yrs before 2000 and one national title.

Since 2000, LSU has won 4 SEC titles and 2 NC.

It took good recruiting and good coaching to win the 48 games, 2 SEC titles, and a NC at LSU from 2000 to 2004 and it has taken good recruiting and good coaching to win 82 games, 3 west tiles, 2 SEC titles, and a NC at LSU from 2005 to 2012.

To opine that LSU wins now cause we are LSU, we recruit well, and we have some "charm" bout the program belittles all the effort it has taken LSU to go from being a solid football program as we were some of the time in our history to being the elite level program we have been since 2000 more times than not.
