A much deserved tribute to Chris Reid

Nobody, nobody got on base more efficiently than Reid in 2018, and only Josh Smith got on base more than Reid this season.
Local media constantly picks at him for his lack of talent, claims he is a liability on defense, yada yada yada. Yet we’ve never heard a complaint from this young man, even after he was cut prior to his senior season. Instead of moving on, he chose to share his love for the game as a LL coach. Then given a call to return, he showed up, played the game the way its supposed to be played and still wears the purple and gold with pride. I don’t know the guy personally, and If I had a son, I would tell him “just be like that guy”.

Reid has gotten nothing but respect from LSU fans all year! WTF you talking about?

Where have you been?

most fans know that this team wouldn't be where it is this year without Chris Reid

This. I live In BR and have never heard anyone say anything bad about Ried in 4 years.
Bitch about the coach who threw him off the team for his senior year. Not the fans who love him.

Jesus, you guys are animals. I was simply trying to pay more respect to the man.

Chris Reid deserves better.
He got the loudest ovation from the fans when he was introduced during the Senior Day ceremony.
Even louder than Antoine.

He’s got the horses in the back

Link because from what I see back & forth on Twitter they have a great relationship

I would love to see or hear just one example of this because I never heard it.

We haven’t heard a complaint from any of them. shite Hal Hughes would actually have a legit excuse and he didn’t complain either. Why no love for him?

So he passed on offers to go where exactly? Oh and I’m not even going to the little league comment.

Isn’t this what any of us would do?

Hopefully if you have said son by then you would want him to be like you.

not sure I've ever heard anything but praise regarding Chris Reid. Even early in this season people were insisting that he be on the field. Don't know where you heard anything about his lack of talent. He may never be drafted, but he is a damn good college player. I'm glad he is a Tiger, and look forward when CPM hires him as a grad asst.
