A lot of you are missing the real concern re: Burrow

It's the concern I had the moment we hired coach O and a concern that intensified the moment we hired Coach E to be the OC.
That concern is that we were already being perceived by HS kids as a place QBs go to fail under the prior regime.......and we did absolutely nothing in terms of hiring to alleviate that concern.
The reality is, if you're a dad with a son who is a superior QB, when LSU calls you, your default position is to be skeptical as frick. And we've done nothing to overcome it.
All Burrow is doing right now by being "nervous" about us is illustrating what every other QB recruit in HS is already thinking.
It's why we basically MUST have one of our 3 turn out decent. If we suck this year at QB, we're going to have a hole 3 miles wide in QB recruiting even if we hire fricking Bill Belichick next.

Don't forget the same buffoon that has nothing to alleviate concern, also embarrassed the program by leaking disparaging remarks about his original, hand-picked OC and then firing said OC in also an embarrassing fashion.

A lot of us have had that concern since Day 1. That’s why you don’t hire a career Dline coach who bombed as a HC and then let him hire an OC that hasn’t been a college OC in 20 years.
My biggest concern is if they let Alleva pick the next guy.

If we get inferior QB play AGAIN this year, we flat out have zero fricking shot at pulling a good one in recruiting. I would openly question the sanity of any QB who even talked to us should that happen.
So, that would mean an incoming coach would be saddled with 2 upper classmen that no-one was confident in and nothing worth even talking about down class.
He would have to basically call the first season a wash and hope to recruit at kid in the fall of 2019.
But THAT is assuming that O train wrecks to the point of getting fired.
If we merely go like 8-4 with shitty QB play, the SAME problem remains only another year of nothing at QB in the recruiting stream will be inserted.

I don't buy that.
You get the right coach in there, one that knows how to develop QBs, the players will follow. Recruits know the real deal and they smell a fraud.
You can't convince these QBs with multiple options to pick your program just by having a force of personality. You need to actually have results to fall back on.
