What are you thinking citing objective factual evidence contradicting a nega's short cited argument? Are youtrying to get a ton of anonymous down votes?

A bowl win and a top 3 recruiting class = status quo for Miles. The question is, will he be able to coach up the talent he brings in each year to actually win something of note? We shall see.

What makes you such a great self righteous fan! How do you know who is not going to watch and not pull for the team? And what would matter to you?
I have been watching LSU sports longer then you I promise (59 years) but why would I think am a better fan because I call out those that see and point obvious bs?

you guys are ok with losing 3-4 games a year?

No one is ok with 3 or 4 losses. It's just some people realize that all the whining, crying and bitching about a coaching change that did not happen, won't affect next year's record-- except maybe in a negative fashion when read by potential recruits. Some "fans" feel a greater need to complain over and over and over again; others understand the power of the rant on recruits, and regardless of their personal feelings about a coach, choose to support the future of the program by being less whiny (notice I didn't say positive, bc here on the rant positive has a negative connotation).

Demanding more of our players, coaches and administrators is one thing-- months of acting like a two year old is quite another thing.

But it ultimately doesn't mean anything when we end up playing 7-5 Big 12 teams on Dec 29th.

To me it does because not everyone thinks we should play for a NC every year. People like you are rarely satisfied.

Not sure when you started watching, but I have seen him win the sec and a national title. To me, that is something of note.

Now if you said again, I might agree with you, but not you or anyone can predict the future regardless of who the freaking coach is.

I know everyone thinks we have magical high school players in Louisiana that are better than those in other states but it's not true. Louisiana is a small state population wise. We have a few really good football players every year but not the abundance of a Florida, Texas or
Georgia. Be realistic, anything other than mediocre is a good coaching job. Les has to go out of state for players to compete. Those who keep bashing Miles coaching just as well be Bama fans. They're driving those few players in Louisiana out to the schools where there's not as much whining.

I have said this for years, but im called an idiot when I poke holes in the per capita argument.

Baton Rouge had the highest HIV cases per capita some years ago. To the idiots that would mean Baton Rouge has the most people with HIV. Wrong, there are cities out there with more people that have HIV than the entire population of Baton Rouge.

Per capita is a bullshite argument, especially when other states double and triple your population.

American Samoa actually has the highest per capita of NFL players. With a population of 50k people, it doesnt mean shite.

LSU has had top recruiting classes the last few years and it all amounts to playing in the fricking Texas bowl. People need to stop getting excited about recruiting rankings because the product on the field isn't elite like it should be

It's not true though. IF LSU finished outside the top 25 every year of recruiting, you would notice a huge diff in the product on the field. So yes, we should all get excited about the lifeblood of the program.

I don't think Texas Tech is going to have a top 3 recruiting class.

40+ years here, 25+ season tickets.

If you support what these kids are saying, then you may as well say it yourself. If you aren't on here defending against all this negative frocking bullshite, then yes, you really aren't a good fan. Again, I wanted miles gone..he isn't...so now instead of bashing him and the team, I'm going to get behind and support. If you are a real fan you will do the same...if you are a troll orva dumbass, you won't. Peace out.

won't mean jack shite without a reasonably good QB with an offense to match his skills. I am SO SICK of us underachieving. It just is so unnecessary.

LSU!!! Tom Benson is worth $2.2 BILLION, yet he extorts HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS from state taxpayers just to stay in NOLA.

This is ridiculous, FWIW.

And if we end the season on a high note that's all we can really ask at this point. You Miles detractors need to take a break and accept the fact that next year he is (still) our guy.

No amount of snide bitching on a message board will change that, so just sit back and enjoy the ride.

How is that going to change execution, discilpline and quarterback play? As long as Miles is at the top of the food chain, 5-3, MAYBE 6-2 is the absolute ceiling. Plus, based on this year's performance, we're no longer going to have a top tier defense to prop up a sputtering (or non existent) offense.

Again, you have an inflated sense of what we have put out on the field the last few years...

In 2012, we finished 10th in Scoring Defense per play and 8th in Total Defense per play. Following that season, we lost the following to the NFL Draft
1st Round - Barkevious Mingo (Jr), Eric Reid (Jr)
2nd Round - Kevin Minter (Jr)
3rd Round - Bennie Logan (Jr), Tyrann Mathieu (Jr), Sam Montgomery (Jr)

Then in 2013, we fell to 34th in Scoring Defense per play and 20th in Total Defense per play. On the other side of the ball, we ranked 9th in Scoring Offense per play and 12th in Total Offense per play. Following that season, we lost the following to the NFL Draft
1st Round - Odell Beckham (Jr)
2nd Round - Ego Ferguson (Jr), Jeremy Hill (So), Jarvis Landry (Jr)
3rd Round - Trai Turner (Jr)

For those of you counting at home, that's 3 1st Rd. picks, 4 2nd Rd. picks, and 4 3rd Rd. picks who entered the NFL Draft with eligibility remaining.

2014 - 26th Def YPP, 17th Def PPP, 71st Off YPP, 78th Off PPP
2015 - 34th Def YPP, 45th Def PPP, 25th Off YPP, 30th Off PPP

Our offense was actually much better this year that what we've seen in most years, and lightyears ahead of last year, though it obviously faltered down the stretch. What killed us this year were miscommunications in the secondary, failing to stop the run, and terrible, terrible special teams play. These are all symptoms of having a young, inexperienced team.

Methinks you don't know what a ceiling is and/or are blatantly disregarding one of the best seasons in LSU football history.
