IDK if the OP has a point or not but it might be worthwhile to see some stats if "hesitancy" was a factor in big plays. IOW, if the player who was responsible was hesitant to respond.

Yes a blind man can see what’s wrong with this defense.

-We have a ton of injuries including to our top 5 defensive players

- we’ve failed to recruit an above average pass rusher over the last 3 years

- we don’t have any depth. Now the reason for that could be many things and maybe the Mo Hampton decision working could address one of them but the fact remains.

But it certainly isn’t for the reason you’re claiming, that much is clear.

Right.....and isn't the "defensive genius" responsible for lack of tackling? This defense will not get better until he gets gone. #9 in the SEC isn't acceptable for most LSU fans, and it shouldn't be.

That's because we rush THREE people......you can't blame the DL. BRING THE HEAT!!!! RUSH 3 AND DROP 8 DOESN'T WORK!!!

Sounds like you're knowledgeable and have a keen eye with your observation. You've convinced me with your theory so, what should they do to make it not so hard??

EXACTLY what was wrong with Schiano's OSU defense last year. This year they got rid of him and went to a more basic understandable D. But can that be done mid year with the same D. coach?

Schemes, angles, playing out of position, bad tackling....You name it, it was a total mess. This year, with the proper coaching with an all new staff they have corrected all their mistakes and are #1 in total defense... with virtually the same players. 4* and 58 players want and need to be coached up to, just like the 3*. Ryan Day has done a miracle job correcting Meyers staff choice.

A blind wouldn’t care if you told them the team is undefeated and has the heisman winning QB

I hope so but you can only get away with that so long though..... IMO I think Texas A&M and Georgia don't have much offense and we can get away with it, but in the CFP we will face (2) high powered offenses with disruptive defenses. We'll see.
