On Monday morning, it was Clemson +6, ML +200. So there were enough players to bring it back down to +5.5 ML +180.

But seeing that much on one side does bring a bit of concern to me.

Wouldn't the line only change if more money wasn't flowing in? Especially if the sharps really like Clemson?

That’s a crock. The line changes as people bet.

Lines don’t move that much due to public money. When they move quickly it’s usually due to sharps betting last minute.

The game is still two weeks out. I’d bet the number of bets are extremely low which makes it much easier for one side to have a large percentage of the money.

It supposedly went from LSU +1 to LSU -5.5 after Saturday.

It opened at -3 then jumped to -6 then -5.5 immediately per Josh Pate.

The Oklahoma line was the true joke. I got in on -12.5. I got in at -6 on this one.

I predict it will get to 9.5.

Small but not 0. The line jumped from 3.5 to 6 quickly. And with the game in NOLA and the nation getting to see JB, why wouldn't it? Lots of cash yet to be played. Vegas will make its money on the O/U. I wouldn't dare touch it at 69.5 as of now.

It was 3.5 at one point. I have a friend who got it early Sun a.m. and then it jumped out of nowhere.

Take a look at the updated Championship Futures Odds & Trends, some notable Championship bets and see the opening (1/8/19) and longest odds for both teams at William Hill Sports Books.

the line opened at -6. the book has no problem moving it down. i have always been a little skeptical of what WH puts out there though. fwiw there may still be low limits. usually the limits dont increase until wednesday before a saturday game when totals post

You must be a paid user. When I click on the link you give me it has a lock where you show percentage.

Regardless, If more the 50% of the money is going to one side the line will slide to get people to bet the other way.

These guys don't make money by taking one sided bets.

You would need a major injury announcement to move that line 3 more points in LSUs direction. The lines simply don’t move like that at this stage.

could still be low limits. they would have taken a lot of public action between 12/28 and 1/2. the couple of big groups with flagged accounts that actual move the lines may have placed bets and moved it a point against heavy public involvement.

it doesnt really take much to kick a number around 5-6

No way that is happening. The line would have moved dramatically if that was the case and it hasn't moved.

A ton of games start off with a high money number % that doesnt effect the line. There is simply not a lot of people putting money down this far away from game time.

!00% true. There was a pre-Saturday line .... Clemson -1. An analyst reported the post-PeachBowl 6.5 point move as huge, and nearly unprecedented. IIRC it was on an LSU radio broadcast .... ?? Jordy and T-Bob ??
