He wasn't a perfect "game-day" coach (Ole Miss 2001, qb draw with Mauck and a 30 pt lead in 2002). Saban at Bama has been almost perfect, although I strongly believe that Les Miles outcoached Saban in 2010 and the first game in 2011.
Excellent observation. The haters will always be there no matter what Les Miles does at LSU, but the man knows how to get the most from all of his players. Glad we have him!
