I am in my 30’s with a young family of my own and my earliest/best memories in life are from going to games with my dad when I was a young kid.
My dad - who is now in his 70’s - and I reminisce to this day about games we attended together when I was a kid. We still go to the occasional game together but nothing compares to the memories we have of watching the tigers together in Death Valley when I was around your son’s age. Enjoy it!!

Cool. I remember my first Tiger game back in the Bert Jones era. LSU 42 17 over A&M. You're son will never forget it. Have fun and limit his Jack Daniel's intake.

quote:You mean the FIRST of those FOUR notes!!!
Take a pic or video of him when the band hits the note.
Pay attention, because that's the last you'll hear from TGBFTL until halftime!

Taking my grandson to his first game later in the season for his 8th birthday. When asked what he wanted for his birthday he responded, "to go to a LSU game with me and his dad."

Quick recap for anyone who is interested:
We got to campus around 2:00 and went and found onw of his friends that was tailagiting. From there we went down to see the tiger, got some football gloves from the gift shop and then went to the PMAC to watch some ball and get out of the sun. We watched the band and team come down the hill from the ramp of the PMAC then met up with my cousin at one of his friends tailgates. At this point it was about 5:15 and he was over tailgaiting. I honestly should have just stayed at his friends tailgate but I wanted him to see the team walk down the hill. Lessons learned for next time.
We decided to go into the stadium at 5:15 and get some snacks and wait in there. He was looking tired so he rested for a bit and then 30 mintes before kickoff I got him some dip n dots to try to perk him up. By kickoff, he was READY. He cheered his butt off for 4 quarters of madness. Right after the pick 6 he looked at me and said " This is the best game I have ever been to in my entire life!" Now I realize that he only has one day game and a few saints games to compare it to but it was still awesome to hear.
Overall it was great experience and can't wait to do it again.
