I am far from an expert, but like many have followed and loved Tigers for a long time, so a few true false questions for fun, bet anyone under 30 gets less than 50%...will post answers later today, but sure some of you will know them all

Trus or false
1)Charlie Alexander never played a game at TS while there was an upper deck
2) Dalton Hilliard never scored a touchdown in a bowl game
3) Eric Martin was back-up QB as a freshman
4) In the 55-24 "oranges" win over FSU in 1982, the game was tied at 14 at halftime
5) Lance Smith was recruited to LSU by Bo Rein
6) The 1980 team voted to not go to a bowl game after being invited to Peach Bowl
7) Mickey Guidry threw more TD passes in 1986 than Hodson
8) LSU had four RB's drafted in NFL from signing class of 1982
9) LSU is only SEC team to never lose to Walter Lewis led Bama team?
10) Brad Davis left LSU as our all time leading rusher?
11) Robert Dow had more punt return yards at LSU than TM7?
12) Mike Archer was the only head coach in 1980's to win his first game as LSU head coach?

Original upper deck opened in 1978, Alexander's senior year.

False. Upper deck was completed in 1978, his final season.

quote:

Dalton Hilliard never scored a touchdown in a bowl game

False. Scored a TD vs. Nebraska in 1983 Orange, I think.

quote:

Eric Martin was back-up QB as a freshman

False. Was a running back.

quote:

In the 55-24 "oranges" win over FSU in 1982, the game was tied at 14 at halftime

False. LSU led 28-14.

quote:

Lance Smith was recruited to LSU by Bo Rein

True, I think, but not sure. I think he was a freshman in 1980, but not sure whether a redshirt or not.

quote:

The 1980 team voted to not go to a bowl game after being invited to Peach Bowl

I didn't know about any bowl offers, but I do know LSU decided (whether by team vote or some other way) before the Tulane game not to go to a bowl if invited. I'll say True.

quote:

Mickey Guidry threw more TD passes in 1986 than Hodson

False.

quote:

LSU had four RB's drafted in NFL from signing class of 1982

Hilliard and James, yes, but two others? I'll say False.

quote:

LSU is only SEC team to never lose to Walter Lewis led Bama team?

False. The only time we beat them when he played was 1982, and they also lost to Tennessee and Auburn that year. If he was only their starter for that year, there were at least three SEC teams who didn't lose to them that year.

quote:

Brad Davis left LSU as our all time leading rusher?

False.

quote:

Robert Dow had more punt return yards at LSU than TM7?

Unsure, but I'll say True. He did it for a lot longer than the Honey Badger did.

quote:

Mike Archer was the only head coach in 1980's to win his first game as LSU head coach?

True. Stovall lost to Florida State and Arnsparger tied Florida. Archer beat Texas A&M.

Well, technically, there was a South Upper Deck since way back in 1953.

Score was 55-21, not 55-24, btw.
