I don't get it. You all lost the first game 11 to 4. Sure we did not get the sweep we had been hoping for, but we have won 1 of 2. We actually have no doubt who our starter will be today. Eibner. Eibner pitched a 2 hit CG against another one of the best teams in Georgia, if anything Arkansas should be looking forward to playing today against what appears to be a group effort in the pitching category for LSU, since it seems that you guys have two great pitchers, but are missing a third. Can any rational LSU fan try to explain why Arkansas would be trying to "save face" in game 3? Last time I checked we are one of the best teams in the best conference in the country. I am not trying to bash anyone here, I would just like to see if someone can provide a LOGICAL answer to these questions and refrain from sarcasm or simply bashing Arkansas
You are 100% correct.
If Ross gives us his "normal" outing, you guys win this series. JMO.
I'm going to get bashed, but IDGAF.

And what are the chances of a "normal" Ross outing?
Posted on 5/3/09 at 12:06 pm to klundq02
I'd say he lasts 4 maybe 5 innings

Not all of us are idiots. Niether team is hoping for a rainout. These are two of the best teams in the country. And at the chance of being bashed, realisticly, Ark. obviously has the upper hand today. They are at home and yes they have a definite starter, while ours is a toss up. Sorry, just being realistic. I still think we win, because I think our hitters will go off today.

i say we get an outing out of ross like we got against ole miss. Great fealing about this one.

i realize Ross hasn't been exactly unhittable lately, but c'mon the kid isn't just some slouch...he plays for LSU and we need to believe in him and have faith that he will come in and pitch his heart out like i believe he does every time out on the mound....lets get behind him and our tigers today!

My Cable Guide (Comcast in Shreveport) is showing the LSU/Arkansas game coming on @ 4pm. Anyone else showin' a tape delay?

mine (COX) still has ch. 37 College Baseball: LSU at Arkansas *new*live*

Ross probably goes 4-5 today. Hopefully, Bert, Bradshaw, and co. are able to take up the slack.

His best game this year was the Sunday game vs Ole Miss. We won 2-1. Other than that, we are lucky if he goes 5 innings only giving up 4-7 runs. His is very inconsistent, which is upsetting because PM thought he would be one of our better pitchers this year.
I have faith in my Tigers, yes, but I fully expect Ross to be Ross. If that is the case, we will have to come from behind to win. We get too far behind, which has been the majority of Ross' starts, you guys win handily.
EZ's predictions:
If Ross is Ross: LSU 5 ARKY 13
If Ross is On: LSU 5 Arky 4

impossible....

I don't care who's pitching. LSU has lost ONE SEC series over the last year ... ONE. Baseball is a game of trends, and the trend for LSU is to simply win SEC series.
If the game is played today, LSU will win the series, as they always have over the course of the last year, save the Tennessee series in which we thought we could just show up and win. Arky has our respect, and we will win today. I have no doubt. They got our attention in Game 1 Saturday, and that's bad news for Arky.

He also couldn't get out of the 5th inning against Tennessee. Let's not pretend that this guy is unhittable.
The fact is that he only has 2 appearances in SEC play. He had the great outing against Georgia, and was hit around pretty good against Tennessee. That's basically a wash IMO.

why the hell would you not move the game up if you know its suppose to rain?
