"Ladies and gentlemen, LSU is broke."

LSU also will adjust its 2010 football ticket prices as well.
LSU will have a new “premium” conference game — likely against Alabama this year — that will cost $70
per ticket instead of $50.
But to offset that increase, two non-premium, non-conference games will be reduced in price from $45 per
ticket to $40. The West Virginia home game will be the “premium” non-conference game at $50, Alleva
said.
The changes are expected to generate an extra $1.2 million for LSU athletics.

frick that. LSU athletics is not hurting like the rest of the university. This is just plain bullshite considering the product we've seen the last two year. I could maybe understand if we were coming off of a conference championship or something but not right now.

Absolutely true. I've heard people for the last 5 years saying that they inherited their tickets from their fathers, but they couldn't afford them at the price they were charging then. Someone's buying those tickets. Until that stops, LSU will raise prices. It's a business. That's just the way it is.

Is there a place on your renewal form that lets you opt out of individual games? I don't see one on mine.
It's not like they are going to have any single game tickets for Bama.

We all know who's buying those tickets. Not as many die-hard LSU football fans in the stadium any longer and it gets a little "worse" every season. They're slowly but surely being replaced by the "see and be seen/attention whore/money" crowd. Ya know, the ones that are mainly interested in LSU football as a social event; the ones that don't make much noise and leave at halftime or end of the third quarter despite how close the game is.
Of course there are still the local fanatics that ARE going to be in that stadium no matter the price of tickets or W/L record of the team because their entire existence is based on and revolves around LSU football. That's the only thing that matters in their life, a lot like so many that make up the Alabama fanbase. Hey, if LSU football is that important and necessary and you choose to spend that kind of money to be in that stadium for every home game, go for it. More power to you.........

actually it is because most on here don't seem to get it.
If you don't like things the way they are, then keep your cash.
Bitching and moaning on here matters about .0000000005 %

Another way of giving BAMA more credit than they are due.
Posted on 1/21/10 at 2:50 pm to dagotiger
Let's look from a different angle. What will the true value of a bama ticket be equal to when LSU enters that game at 4-4 or 5-3? I'm talking the one hour before kickoff price.
I'm betting less than $70 per... thus LSU has ripped off its season ticket holders.

Justify it anyway that makes you feel better about yourself.

I've been saying since TAF took over, this will not end until the people stand up.You fuking SHEEP are scared to be without your tickets in hand. You're scared you will be the only one on the block not having season tix.You would be embarassed to have to hold your hand up for tix gameday.PEER PRESSURE not unlike 7th grade when you were the only one who didn't take a shower after gym or you thought you were the only one who didn't have hair under his arms LLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL.Stand up woosies be heard you're being fricked. For the record I attend every game I choose to attend by buying tix at the stadium for face or less, I do purchase a parking pass, and I bet my seats, game in game out or better than most.
Posted on 1/21/10 at 5:35 pm to TIGRLEE
I propose that you are better off NOT having season tickets. Unless you want to see all the rent-a-win games, just pay extra $$$ for the good matchups and watch the rest from home or you can pay well below face value and attend them. You are still money ahead either way.

As I have gotten older people in general piss me off more and more.
Never fails, the only a-hole that is standing up during the visiting teams band halftime show will sit directly in front of me.
If there happens to be a kid that likes to eat hotdogs and drink cokes he or she will want one about 2 maybe 3 times per quarter.
If there is a bumbling idiot that never shuts the frick up and rambles on about stuff thats not even true,, he or she will inevitably be sitting right above me... in my left ear.
If there happens to be a fat frick on my row that in reality takes up two seats, you guessed it.. Im right beside him.
Crowds of people just piss me off.
Watching game outside under my tents drinking beers smoking some cigaretts has become the thing for me.
