If I was one of these voters, I wouldn't have ranked Bama just to see the fury that would've come from Updyke & friends (especially if those ~20 points kept TAHD out of the championship game)

Rumors are going around that Bama has at least 2 computers with them at #2, possibly 3. That means OK St may need a plurality of #2 spots to get in.

If OSU plays LSU then the BCS will have proven beyond doubt that it is worthless. Nobody odjective thinks OSU is better than Bama. USC Oregon Arkansas Stanford would beat the brakes off of OSU. OSU is #7 at best.

Yea, and nobody objective thought anyone was better than Ohio State and Michigan in 2006.

I'd be like drawing the profit Muhammad. You'd get jihad'ed by folks with "too much Bama in them." <- is that code for inbred?

Statistical sample bias here - Ok State voters are more likely to share their vote, while those with no stones leaving Bama at 2 will try to slide in under the radar

I think lsumatt said if they get Wolfe OSU needs 33% of human votes. They got almost 30% of coaches, so they'll need to be a little stronger in the harris.

I think they are going to need around 42 of 115 votes.

Add Blaine Bishop to the OSU side:

Harris Poll voter @bbishop23 moves Ok state to 2 and has Bama at 3.

I agree with this.

That scenario was based upon the assumption that OK St got at least 5 computers on their side so Bama was universal #3 in comps after lowest/highest were dropped. Bama might have 2 or 3 computers on their side, evening that OSU advantage. That means OSU needs more votes than that in Harris considering they are behind in coaches.

ETA: agree with sample bias comment

Based upon some more recent posts it's looking like the tally is 8-3 OSU atm.

The problem here is the POS voters like in the coaches that intentionally put OSU lower than 3 for either their agenda to keep Bama in or to put Stanford in an automatic BCS spot (which they were guaranteed anyway).

This is why this system is pathetic. Cheaters like Saban likely put OSU at #5.

If I was a voter in either poll I wouldn't have ranked Bama unless there's some kind of accountability (obviously there isn't).
