Tech D is that bad. We will see more of the same next year on O. Start off undefeated and then play Bama and lose and then lose to Arkansas and Ole Miss. Rinse and Repeat till 2019. Les isn't going to change. Only hope is Coach O can get the D Line and LB recruits in here to play better and compliment the DB's. Better D means we don't have to have a good O.

TT's D Coordinator was jumping around like a mad man on any stop they got. That tells me they're not used to stopping anyone consistently enough = bad D.

Harris looked pretty good in spots. If he can complete more of the open passes then this offense can be lights out. His deep throws are beautiful. Just improve the short and medium passes. Play more zone read and use his legs more also.

Jet sweep/reverse goes for 80 yards. We dont run anything similar again.

We did run another reverse or 2 later in the game

Plays like that don't typically work 5 or 6 times throughout the course of a game

If you get it to work once in a big way like we did then it's a success

For our talent we are a bad offensive team.

TT is simply a talentless defense.

Therein lies the difference.

Statistically that was the worst D we played all year so we should have out best O production.

The thing I liked/took away from last night is that fish out of water/deer in headlights look on O was not there. If that's due to CC on sideline, keep him there

Didn't see nearly the offensive penalties that we're used to.

Texas Tech's D is terrible.

But LSU's offense is also supposed to be terrible.

Apparently LSU's terrible is a lot better than Tech's terrible.
also, unless LSU's DL turned into monsters over the last couple of weeks, that TTech OL was one of the worst I've ever seen.....ever.....ever

And we snapped the ball much faster. I even saw a few times where we still had 10+ seconds on the play clock.

What I saw was coaches that made half time adjustments. I haven't seen that at LSU in a VERY long time.

Gameplan was still pretty bad. But we imposed our will in the running game.

We still dont have a mid range passing game. Its run-run-bomb.

That game plan was no different than anything we saw all year. Its just a much worse D.

Oh for frick's sake you people are insufferable.

How can you say the game plan is bad in a game where you AVERAGE over 10 yards per play and put up 56 points? Do you know what a game plan is? The game plan for a team like Texas Tech should be EXACTLY what it was last night. The coaches did a great job of putting the players in a position to be successful, and that is precisely what a game plan should do.

On most of the deep throws Harris takes his time and opts for the deep route, but I highly doubt that is always the primary read. Granted, I'll agree that he needs to build confidence in his intermediate/short routes, and hopefully that will come with any improvement in his accuracy. However, Harris choosing to throw to deep routes is not necessarily indicative of the primary route for the play call. Additionally, Harris was very effective with his deep ball last night so I don't see how you can be this disappointed.

Hilarious. That play was complicated and took a long time to develop - it was a gimmick play for all intents and purposes. The reason a play like that goes 80 yards is because you only run it once or twice a season. Think about how stupid the content of your statement is - "I'm not happy with the game. We should have ran more gimmicks and reverses."

Will be interesting to see if Cam stays on the field going forward. I know Brandon Harris asked for him to coach from the field. It's something I've been wanting to see for some time now.

Sam Houston State had 671 yards against TTU.

Kansas had 475, and they were literally the worst college football team in America.

Our D was the bigger story. They played really well against a really good offense and looked really fast and physical. Tech's D is atrocious...they fired three coaches on the D before the bowl game (if that tells you anything). I believe they gave up 44 or more points eight times this year. The 56 points we scored on them was the 4th most points they gave up in a game this year.

This. I consider that improvement, which is kind of sad it took all year. They only had to call timeout once when the playclock was running down. They mostly were snapping the ball with 10 seconds left. If Cam being on the field is the difference, keep his arse out of the press box.
