This is the end result, being dominated on your home field. The talent gap is bigger than people think, I have pretty good seats and watched the line get pushed back all night. Bama clearly has an advantage with the superior recruits, and their team looks like a freaking machine.

Don't worry, that was visible from the nosebleeds as well.

You do know that how you teach and coach those recruits matters too. Bama gets the best players and also coaches them up better than anyone

2014- 2
2015- 5
2016- 2
2017- 7

So over the last few years, LSU has had the #4 ranked recruiting class.... so the talent gap between 1 and 4 is that large in your opinion?

We get the same calibur of players Bama gets for the most part. Alot of our guys held offers from Bama too. People are overblowing this talent gap BS to justify a poorly coached team.

Im all about the tigers, every year against those guys the talent looks superior to Lsu. I wish it looked different, and they lost all those players to the nfl and all those position coaches and still look like a well oiled machine

Talent gap is an insanely weak argument

Miles' record at LSU was better than Saban's. Just saying. And yes he is very good. Issue is they get the best recruits, every year. Period. And with that their depth is incredible. Just plug them in every year.

Want to beat them, out recruit them. How do you do that? No secret, out spend them. Look at Tua. The REC brought his entire family over. To frigging Tuscaloosa from Hawaii. Come on guys think about it. Heck even the players' stipends are higher there.

Takes money and coaching. They git both.

Saban had to do a turnaround. Miles didnt. It's like comparing CEO's. One takes over a struggling company and turns it into a star. The next one picks up where he left off but does not much to improve it. Based on your logic, the second one is better because he had better balance sheets.

I agree to a point. The cupboard was not bare when Saban arrived. Problem was Dinardo couldn't coach.

LSU has had top recruiting classes, but how many top LSU recruits see the field? Seems like there's always players coming in injured, scholastically ineligible, failing drug tests, or incarcerated for their felony of choice. How does LSU's track record compare to Alabama's(or other schools for that matter) in percentage of recruits who actually play, and what happens to those schollys.

I can’t believe O has you all believing this talent gap crap. Yes Bama has more talent, but not like an insane amount. Not “29-0” more. The issue is the same as it was under Les, the same it’s been since 1-9-2012. It is COACHING. This team nailed its fricking coffin shut the moment Aleva picked a DL cosch for HC instead of a young football guy who specializes in actual football.

Quick slants. RPO’s. Screens. Draws. Great scheme can make up the talent difference.

I totally agree. These people using the "talent gap" as an excuse are misguided. Every team Bama played this year have found a way to score....EXCEPT US! So does every team thus far on their schedule have more talent than us?

Maybe Greedy Williams shouldn't have bragged about Bama "haven't seen nobody like us so far". That didn't help. There may be a gap in talent but I don't think it's as wide as people think, however, the gap in coaching is wider than any other gap.

These idiots will find every excuse under the sun to explain the first week of every November.

ULL can muster more rushing yards in a half vs Bama than we can in 2 years, but it's all cause of the talent gap.

Once again, I'll mention coaching. If, we as fans, can see the talent gap, surely our coaches can. So, you have to have coaches who are capable of forming schemes and a gameplan that give you a chance to win the game. We don't have that.

We could have the number one class for 10 years straight and still get shut out with that play calling and scheme against Saban. The play calling was atrocious last night and there is no denying it. Play action with negative yards rushing lol? Slow developing pass play near the goal line knowing your line has been getting blown up all half ? LMFAO. Running up tempo that isn’t working when you need to limit Bamas snaps? WTF???

It’s not the total talent gap but the gap at positions that matter is the problem. Our DL is overweight and unathletic. Our OL is )poor. And the QB gap LOL.

There is a huge talent and Depth gap. If you couldn’t see that last night your blind. Cushenberry is a 3 star project that got demolished every play
