Sugar Bowl Committee has no weight for the National Championship game, regardless of location (including New Orleans).

The face values are stupid high.
I sat 50 yard line in the field club at Mercedes-Benz in ATL for the bama/GA game 2 years ago. Face was under 500.
Face for those is well over a grand to this game. Ticket brokers suck, but a big part of why the prices are so high was because face value was probably close to triple what other recent CFP finals were.

I checked StubHub a couple hours ago. Season tickets next season were cheaper than the NCG.

I paid 500 for good seats in 2004. Right above where Skyler Green scored. That ticket was 150 bucks face. I think I got a great deal.
My buddy called me the other day to tell me he got tickets in 625. I was happy for him. Until he told me they were 425 frickin dollars a piece-- face. Wow.

Yep.
The price for 50 yard line club seats to the NC just 2 years ago gets your back against the wall and your head touching the ceiling this year. It's insane.

LSU fans with tickets arent selling (is so, it is very few of them). perhaps I am wrong but any LSU fan who got tickets from LSU and is trying to pawn them should be ashamed(unless they have a hardship)
You know how I know you didn't go to the last Championship LSU was in?

My method will be sucking up to the governor at the inauguration trying to get a pair.
Usually I'm not that pathetic, but I want to see it

Yeah probably true. I'd pay $700 for one of those 600 seats. Hoping to find some for that on Sunday/Monday. If not, I'm watching this puppy at home
Same except I will just have to watch it in NOLA

If you want to go to the game, wait it out. I drove to Atlanta with a buddy before Peach Bowl with no tickets. We had been monitoring pricing on Stub Hub, Seat Geek and Ticketmaster. We paid $250 for great 2000 level 40 yard line seats on LSU side line that we’re going for $800 just before Christmas. Wait it out and you will get deals.
Fortunately, I bought 2 tickets in Plaza Endzone early December for $590 each FV.

Sellers exercising their option to sell - at any price they see fit - and acknowledging the perils thereof is no concern of the buyers who likewise exercise their option not to buy. Guilt trips don't get much mileage anymore.
You're right. Just soulless clutching for cash like a heroine junkie trying to get a fix.

The unwritten rules of die hard fans selling tickets are ignored this game. I was offered 2 mediocre seats for $3800 today. I said no and a Clemson fan bought them

I’m going to wake up Sunday and make the move if tickets drop enough

I don’t think I got fricked at all. In the lower uppers, aisle seats, plus traveling for work all week so peace of mind that I’ll be in the dome Monday!

don’t know I’ve been watching some seats in the 500 section. They have gone up 100-200 in the last two days.
I have been tracking supply and prices by areas. I have a ticket broker friend who has been doing this for 20 years. This past Saturday and Sunday supply peaked at about 6000. that was when a lot of people figured out how to access their mobile tickets. Then the big move came last 2 days and supply dropped to 3900 as of now on Stubhub
The 500 level on the sides I paid particular attn to because I loved my seats in 07. Before fees every time they hit the 1700 mark they sold. Then they would be at 2000. And each time the crept down again to 1700 they sold. NOw the supply in the 500's are low as heck. I dont see much of a drop like normal. Like someone mentioned LSU fans can wait since they are local and brokers are not stupid. Now maybe after kickoff or right at kickoff you can snag a great deal. But any ticket except uppers will not drop very much from where they are now. You wont see them at 1000. Uppers may get down to 800 maybe even 700 once people decide they dont want to eat them. Be ready to jump on them.

Corporate seats are opening up finally. We scored 2 yesterday and are thrilled but this is the latest we’ve ever had to wait for those seats to start floating around. I expect to see some open up by Friday but I don’t think anyone is getting into the game if they show up Monday with no tickets.

I don't have any tickets for sale but who are you to tell someone that they should sell for less than market value just to help out some LSU fans on a budget?
I don’t think he’s insinuating that they should take a loss. But it should be noted that this isn’t a house they’re selling. You can’t just walk away from a deal and expect the opportunity to sell will present itself months later. If people bought with the intent of making money, they’ll likely get burned.

I felt that way when I went to the Oklahoma game. They were around us, and they were very arrogant before the game.
Well that shite stopped quickly.
