Compare Gio’s throw to Arky’s center fielder. LSU has little league players.

It was certainly not as horrible of a decision as Bianco made last weekend, but it was pretty horrible. I like aggressive base running, to a certain degree, but you have to understand when to be aggressive and when to be smart. Blame that on coaching if you want.
1000% had nothing to do with the 3rd base coach. All that Cain could have done is throw up a gigantic stop sign as soon as he got about half way but it's really out of his hands at that point...might as well let the play unfold, and not risk the hitter backdoored. Even with a stop sign at the halfway point, you prob end up in the same situation with just a guy on 2B and an out made.

It took a pretty good throw to get him, less than 50% chance he makes that play. And if he doesnt you have 2nd and 3rd with 1 out down 2. I doubt dugas was thinking of all that, but i thought it was a close to worth risk

It was really amazing to get those identical plays in back to back half innings with Arkansas executing a 1st to 3rd perfectly then LSU getting gunned down.
A perfect contrast of a good program and a bad program. And what LSU used to be.

Even if they somehow got Dugas to hold up at 2nd they wouldn’t have scored anyway. Arkansas would have brought in their closer and it would have been back to back strike outs. The 1st 4 batters he faced struck out.

It’s not our fault you don’t understand what actually happened.
It seems La has some shitty baserunning going on. From 12u to HS kids just dont know how to read the ball, get late jumps then get in bad situations with their decisions.
Dugas did just that today.

It took a good throw to get Bianco last weekend, too, and specifically cost us a run. Not sure if we would've scored after that tonight, but I would've like to see. If you just hold up, you have 100% chance of not making the out there...yes, you also have a chance of making it and putting us in a great situation, but you have to be smarter.

Dugas was going no matter what

He had his mind made up he’s young he was turning the base before he looked

You continue to show your stupidity. Congrats

Dugas is used to playing against outfielders who can’t throw in practice so he didn’t think a center fielder could gun him out on that.
Dugas saw the outfielder, in shallow center, catching the ball just as Dugas tagged second. There is no way in the world Dugas should have gone. It was an easy play, and I was surprised it was as close as it was - not a particularly good throw.

quote:don't let em get you mad. Yes Cain could have held dugas at 2nd....there are a few guys on here and I can name them all who have pm's dick and balls all up in their mouth 24/7 and will look for any comments to come out and defend pm and his boys Dunn and Cain....
bringing in hasty/Fowler in a 2 run game? fricking terrible. PM waved the white flag after an incredible start by Marceaux
-stretching dugas to third when you finally got some momentum going is little league
-if I’m Marceaux I’m literally going to PMs office and asking for a serious explanation as to why you would put in hasty/Fowler after I pitched a hell of a game.

Bad base running has been a Manieri staple as long as I can remember. Unacceptable considering how much he's gotten paid and the level of play he is competing with in college baseball.
