Yeah? And I am basically saying you are a loser baby that wants to wah wah about a call that happened 3 years ago that you have probably been about for three years.

Oh yeah, and I am still pretty certain I am smarter than you. Probably significantly.

as long as one defender is playing the ball, another defender can come in and nail the eligible receiver whenever he wants, because two or more eligible players can make a play for the ball.

Oh yeah, since your ignorant arse is apparently too stupid to follow, the guy that batted the ball did so practically at the same time as the contact by the other defender. Try and read the rule again numbnuts. Sounds like there were more than 2 players involved in the play in question and the rule states when two players or MORE make a play on the ball simutalneously (including batting it), it is not PI.

Since you conceded the point it was practically simutalneous action on the ball and play, you saying now "nail the eligible receiver whenever he wants" makes you sound like even more of a dumbass.

yeah I think that was one where Les was talking about "extremely sincere contact"

Ummm... the major problem with your interpretation is that the defender who batted the ball WAS NOT FLAGGED FOR A PENALTY. So, I agree, that player did not commit PI. In fact, no one has argued he had. It's the guy with his arms around the receiver who has a bit of a problem.

There was another Auburn defender in the path of the ball. It was his, and not Doucet's, to catch

Both players have a "right" to the ball, but that one is closer or in the path does not mean its his ball, it is a free ball. Having a defender with a better shot at catching the ball does not nullify pass interference.

If you have a different definition please provide a link.

quote:

Defensive holding would have been an acceptable call, but there was no pass interference.

quote:

Parse Interference: Grabbing or tackling the pass receiver while the pass is in the air. The defender must wait until the ball arrives. However, the defender can try the catch the ball himself, so he may collide with the receiver as they both try to make the catch. If there is interference, the penalty is 15 yards (or to the point of interference if that's less) and a first down is granted even if the ten yards has not been made.

LINK

That call or any others did not cost us the game, which is I suspect the point you are really trying to make.

Frankly, Chicken and Freinds should ban both of these two for being too intelligence challenged to post on the rant.

Note: Significnat intelligence is not require to post on the Rant. However, complete and utter repeated stupidity should be grounds for up to permanent banning.

Baloo, let's get the retard Tiger in Miami to explain why Daniels' INT was nullified in the exact same manner earlier in the fricking same game.

Somehow the rule was applied to one team, but not another. Kind of funny.

Of course not, but I think we can all agree that you're still being an a-hole about it.

Guys, guys, guys, we all know that the ref did the right thing. The defender is entitled to make a play on the ball as well.

Holy hell enough of this already...

And you can watch many ( yet not all ) of the calls where the refs screwed LSU here.

I can't believe you brought this up, this still hurts my friend. It was holding for sure and PI if a hurried/mis-call. The flag should never have been picked up.
Oh well, I believe in Karma, that's pretty much all I have on this one. Other than we were screwed with no apology. Old wounds.

it is clearly an LSU penalty here. Gilbert's arm can be seen being held here. The LSU player clearly jumped into him to keep him from picking it off. a picture is worth a thousand words but i can only think of three.
