IF it does happen and 'Bama were to lose in the SEC championship game THEN what would happen? Ark to BCS championship? LSU to NOLA?
Keep it in the SEC baby.... NOT!!!!!

LSU is too focused and poised to let Ark. beat them. 2007 (48-50 L in 3 OT's), 2008 (30-31 in Little Rock on my b. day: Yes I was there), and 2010 (23-31) are pretty good reminders: 3 of past 4 years we have found a way to lose!

The juniors/seniors will NOT let this team forget their bad ending memories! Getting a bit ahead of myself.... still 2 weeks and 2 days to GEAUX! NEXT!

what happens if germany is in a 3 way tie with russia and norway?

Estonia would get the at-large selection.

Laugh at the thought of Arkansas winning in Death Valley but not at the undeniable fact that if they do, they will be ahead of LSU.

Except that this is VERY debatable. LSU would lose as #1. Alabama just dropped 2 spots following a loss at home. LSU would still have a better computer ranking than Arkansas by a pretty good margin (1/3 of the bcs formula) and it's very much up in the air how far the human voters would drop LSU. Would they want to drop them below an Alabama team that they recently beat on road? I could easily see Arkansas at #4, LSU #3, Alabama #2 and say Oklahoma St #1. Heading into the SEC championship game if Arkansas beat LSU in a close game.

The poll voters take the last couple of votes much more seriously than the ones early in the year. They're more likely to actually think about repercussions of where they slot the teams.

LSU ahead in computers after a head to head loss and same record. Please give me a hit off that pipe. The entire universe will have witnessed not 36 hours earlier Arkansas win on the road over LSU and you and you think that they will stay ahead? Hahahaha there's not a chance of that. LSU will fall right in between Ark and Bama at that point. If you truly believe voters will still pick LSU over Arkansas directly after watching them win on the road then you need professional help. Not saying it's likely but if it does...well you should know the rest. The fact is both LSU and Arkansas control their own destiny.

If you think it's not right then ask yourself this. If LSU were #5 when they beat #1 Bama, would they not be ranked ahead of them right now? You talked about how far Bama fell but there is no way to know how far LSU would have moved up had they been ranked 3-6. Which is wher Arkansas will be if the stay unbeaten going into that game.

Yes, LSU and Arkansas would both have 11-1 records and LSU would have played the better schedule (by a pretty good margin). The computers don't look at head to head as far as I know. Now the humans do, that true. But that's why the whole ranking of teams will be tricky. Alabama beat Arkansas convincingly. They won't forget that. If Arkansas were to beat LSU in a close game, say 28-24 then I can guarantee you that the rankings between LSU, Arkansas and Alabama would be very close and I would feel pretty about LSU staying above Arkansas.

The fact is no one knows for sure how they would be ranked because no one knows how the human voters would handle the the fact that LSU, Ark, and'Bama all beat each other. I would assume the LSU win over Alabama, and the manner in which Alabama beat Arkansas would be the two outomes that are factored in the most though.
