Wasn't DJL drafted by the Cubs? Potential for 2b, ss, and 3b. Awesome!

DJ isn't even close to being in the majors.

I think hes going to be playing in the MLB sooner than later. His athleticism in the infield is amazing. Once he develops more power, hes going to be a hell of a player.

I dont think DJ has the arm to play any infield position on the left side. His arm and delivery time are very sub par for the majors. I hope he proves me wrong.

Theriot and Fontenot may have been traded by then too.

I didn't say he was going to be next year. But I think he'll be in the MLB faster than most think.

my response was for the original poster. my bad. he's got the frame to be a very good infielder somewhere once he fills out. i think he'll eventually be back at his original SS spot unless he has a breakthrough in arm strength.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is in the majors before Mitchell. Whether it will be with the Cubs, who knows.

The Cubs would be very foolish not to sign Theriot. Fontentot...meh.

You really think he will play SS in the majors after he lost that position in college to a freshman who was hitting a 100 pts below him? Come on.

Aramis Ramirez would beg to differ.

No doubt he would be behind Ramirez. But keep in mind Theriot and Fontenot started out behind someone too. I don't see him in the pros yet, but I am just saying that would be frickin awesome. BTW, teh Cubs GM and PM are goo buds. Just saying - for "future picks".

The Cubs do have a knack for recognizing talent, let's just hope they can turn that into some championships soon.
